If a bear did not sell the first time around, how many times would you relist it on ebay or other places? Would you keep relisting and relisting untill it sold or only a couple of times?
Hi, I will sometimes list twice,, and if it does not sell, I put it on my website.
Hi there
I usually only do a relist once but I have done it twice but not very often - think I've only done that 2 or 3 times Like Tami if the bear does not sell then it will go onto my website.
I would relist the same doll but change her prior to the listing-and I mean completly change her.....or him.....give her new clothes, a friend, a gimmick

HHHMMM. Bear adoption depends solely on the right person seeing it within that time frame of the auction. Maybe wait a few days then relist Maybe the bears' new momma was on vacation.
I also think your website is a great place...then there is no time frame.
Thanks everyone. I had listed Lily my fairy bear and did not go. Listed on bid4bears nothing, so I added more detail to her and put her back on ebay still no bids and had her on my website forsale...no go. Sooooooooooo I have decided to to keep her in my collection. I was a first for me not to sell. I even thought about entering her into a competition by after her not finding a new home gave up that Idea. Thought she ws not good enough to enter.
I think you didnt list her in the right place....there is a site that is for all kinds of art in the fairy realm......

You join and then sell there for free......fairybears should go quite quickly priced right....as these people are bonkers for fairys of any color shape form incarnation

I can sure sympathize, Lynn - I can't believe how many times I've had things that I really liked and thought were my best work yet that just didn't appeal to the collectors! It can be very discouraging for sure. I do think sometimes it just a case of the right person not seeing it so you could always try again in a few weeks. Nothing wrong with keeping some of your best work for yourself either!
I would only relist once more as otherwise you can spend too much money trying to sell your bear which then eats into your profits.I have a website and my other outlet is my local shop so if they don't sell on e bay I take them there.A lot of the time I just take them to the shop as e bay is so fickle and it saves me the hassle of photographing and listing etc but you do have some bears that take longer to sell than others and you just have to wait for the right buyer to come along.Sometimes it is nice when the favourites don't sell so quick as it is a good excuse to enjoy them yourself a bit longer

Thanks Dilu, will go take a look. Edie I should not take it so personally when a creation does not sell. Laurie, I know what you mean when you keep relisting and paying the selling fees and no money coming in. I will make another one later. Just having a bad time here and it will pass. I have been working on a cat as well and it was not turning out the way I wanted. Here is a pic of Lily.
she is the cutest little fairy bear!! I will never understand why some things that are created are sooo cute and don't sell or sell for far less than it's worth
this bear is soo sweet Lynn!
