It's heartstopping isn't it? I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like. My heart is heavy for all those who lost someone or something.
Hi Roxanne,
You just cannot imagine the devastation, that the storms can do.
We in England are quite lucky, very rarely would you see anything to the scale of what Ike did.
Thank you for showing us the graphic pictures!
Love kayx.
Thanks for these amazing pictures, Roxanne.
Those of us who live in (blessedly) dull landscapes and climates cannot even imagine how terrifying this must be!
Amazing photos... What a horrible disaster Ike left in its wake. I hadn't really looked at many photos of what happened with Ike until now. Thanks for sharing... That single house.... *shakes head*
Hard to imagine that kind of total destruction. It is heartbreaking to know so many lost everything. Frightening pictures and so sad for those residents.
Those photos are incredible, but so sad and disheartening.
Makes me want to go down there with food, clothing, water, money, and strength so I can do something tangible to help. About the best I can actually do, however, is make a donation to the Red Cross. Thanks for the link, Roxanne.
The last one bought tears, it is just so incredibly sad that such devastation can occur
Yes we do have to be thankful in the UK
  to all of Texas
It just hurts to see those pictures. I have been keeping up with events in the area since I have family there and that is my old stomping grounds. I seen the before and after pictures of Crystal Beach and remember the fun times spent there with family. Crystal Beach took the hardest hit and is just about totally destroyed. We were down there in May. The Boardwalk in Kema where we spent a day is nothing but a pile of rubble. It just looks to me beyond repair. It just saddens me so much. But I must hold on to those good memories.
Wow. How horrible for so many people.
Those pictures speak volumes Roxanne. I feel so helpless seeing images like these....I guess all we can do is pray for them and help in anyway we can with donations.

It must be arwful for those peeps who have lost everything, the pic of the horse graszing in the back garden and all the others brought tears to my eyes, l know know we have our moans and groans here in the Uk but we must count our selves so lucky.
Thanks for posting this Roxanne - I missed out on news during our trip to England.............
and boy what shocking sights. I just can't imagine what it must have been like to be caught up in such devastation - truly heartbreaking
huggies
