Before-and-after-bunny-2.JPGBefore-and-after-brown-bear-2.JPGI've just been working on "remaking" a few of my teddy bears that haven't sold - some of these I actually liked before and some I was never happy with so hadn't even offered for sale but just set aside. Anyway, I think the results are quite interesting and so far I am REALLY pleased with most of my remakes. Here are photos of a couple of "before" and "afters".  I think it would be interesting to see before and afters that others have done too! Perhaps if you have a bear that hasn't sold you could consider reworking it and come up with an improvement. Some of these remakes I have done have been as simple as changing the accessories and others have been more involved as in these two where I have changed the eyes and done a lot more work on the face as well as changing the accessories.

I made this bear and really didn't feel happy with him. No body thought that I had made him, as he didn't look like one of my bears, so I didn't even name him. As you will se he went through a major remake, he now has the name of George.

It is surprising the difference it makes to rework the bears.I don't have photos but I had a traditional panda that hadn't sold so I made him look old and tatty and put an antique key and old piece of lace around his neck and he sold straight away!!!!
You know sometimes that you are not happy with a bear and it can get your creative juices going trying to think of what will make the bear better than it is bear_thumb

wow, great remakes!!!  Love the bunny Edie, and Jane, wow!  what a transformation!  I'm trying to think if I have any......I know I have bears that I want to remake from my collection, add finishing touches that I wasn't aware of back in the early days....

Isn't it amazing how different the bears look in the before and after photos - really shows what a difference a few adjustments can make! (or more than a few in your case, Jane!  bear_grin George looks so much happier now that he can open his mouth and smile!) You would never know yours was the same bear, Denise - I like how you needlefelted the muzzle on her.
