My sweet little blue eyed, blonde haired grand-daughter Elizabeth has been picked for a key role in the Nativity Play at nursery school....what has she been chosen to play...MARY....? No....An Angel? Wrong again.
Nope...she's one of the Three Wise Men..and I am making her outfit.
Oh well, I give up...the world's gone mad and so I am making her the best Kings outfit it's possible to make and she thinks she's being a Princess..
Bless her little cotton socks!
How sweet! I'm sure she will be the best Wise Man-dressed little girl ever.
Jenny,
I'll bet Elizabeth will be absolutely adorable!!!!! Just use lots of sparkly things and she will love it. Please post a picture with her wearing it, when your done!
hugs,
Brenda
He-He... It's politically correctness gone bonkers, don't you think? Whatever next!!
I was thinking "political" correctness, but oh boy, are you going to a proud Grandma whatever
and all I ever was, was a shepherd, must have gone to a forward thinking school...............................my gown was made from an old curtain and itched like crazy  by the time I got home I was a rash all over
ruined me for life on the nativity front

BUT we must see the "angel" wiseperson, when its finished
Oh Jenny!! ....I'm sure she is going to look gorgeous
...especially with Nana in charge!!
Hugs Yvonne

The Bears think you should make the costume with a long beard!
tehe, she'll be the prettiest wise man in town...lol. I adore seeing my kiddies up on stage at these things...enjoy your precious sweetheart
Certainly will post pictures!!
Hope it doesn't work out like it did for me when I was a 4 year old child in the school nativity play. My mother spent ages making me a costume to be an angel..and the teacher said it was too good for the chorus and that 'Gabriel' should wear it and I ended up with an old bit of sheet and a halo that was too big. Not fair...not fair at ALL!!

No that's not fair at all!!
I'm confident that my mother would not have been so gracious and another child would not have been wearing my angel costume. (that after a few "words" would have been spoken mostly on my colorful mothers part...god bless her.)
Can't wait to see pictures of Elizabeth, the Wise Woman.
I WAS A KING!!!!!
I brought gold... and wore a curtain I think!
Awwww Jenny, get your tissues ready when you go to see her!! Cried my eyes out at all the children at my daughter's first Nativity play.......
It was very moving!! Kids are so lovely at that age!!
I'm warnin' ya!!
Hi Jenny I can remember being a wise man at school my aunt made my costume it was so cool I felt very special (7 yrs old).I didn't have to wear a towel on my head like some f the other kids . My aunt couldn't get it to us on the day so I remember sitting on the side of the road outside our house waiting for the taxi to arrive that was bringing my costume to me and everyone thought it was lovely. A wonderful memory and your grand baby will have the same wonderful memory when she is all grown up. Love to see a photo she will be gorgoeus.
Hugs
Raewyn
Aww take heart Jenny, I was a dancing, singing sheep for my final Nativity
