My Teddy TalesI hope someone can help me, I was featured in the TBCI last year in the July issue ( issue #173). It was given to me by a sweet TT member, Ellen from Elli Folks. I wasn't able to get a copy so she was nice enough to send me one, she had an extra copy. Some of you know about my husbands illness with his liver. Were always in the hospital, At the hospital a nurse that was taking care of my husband was talking to us about hobbies and crafts. My husband came out first and told her that I made bears. And she was excited because she collected bears and elephants. So my husband as proud as he is of me told her I was in the TBCI magazine. She had asked if I could bring it by so she can take a look, I said yes. The next day I went to the hospital to visit my husband and brought the magazine, she wasnt there that day, my husband suggested I leave the magazine with him, he would put it in the night table beside him, I wasn't sure if I should leave it but then I did. That night my husband called me at home from the hospital to tell me she loved my bears and was interested in an elephant I said okay.The next day I went back to hospital and I asked my husband for my magazine, and I could see it in his face, SOMEONE TOOK MY MAGAZINE! I started to cry because first of all it meant so much to me and second Ellen sent that to me, and I think that was what hurt the most. I asked everyone on the floor were that nurse was, and do you know that since then ( 4 months ago) I haven't seen her there. And no one has called me to tell me anything.
So, I wanted to know if anyone has an extra copy I could purchase from them, I tryed TBCI website and I can't seem to get that issue. If someone can send me an email please.
I'm sorry Ellen, That copy meant alot to me!
I've learned a big lesson!

I have kept every issue of every magazine plus I buy issues, many vintage in bulk when ever I can. I will go through my magazines after dinner and if I have it you can have it no charge. I feel for you. 
I would just cry if I lost a magazine I was in!!
I still have the TV Guide I was in , I had my 5th Birthday on a show called Chucko The Clown in 1961!! :redface:

Oh Louise! I'm so sorry!! I'll call the number I have and see if I can get another copy for you. If not, and you don't find someone who has the issue, I can xerox it and send you that. (I'm in the same issue, also, or I would give you my copy.

Ellen you were so nice to send me a copy in the first place, that copy meant even more because you gave it to me. It broke my heart, how could someone take something thats not there's.
Debbie thank you for the kind words. My husband is home now. As Ellen knows my husband on top of everything was hit by a car while we were standing out side of our car in front of our house. He's okay but in alot of pain.

And Andrea, that stinks, feeling ignored or not noticed. I've rec'd lovely notes from friends around the world. It's great to be noticed! I don't subscribe to TCBI but when I see a friend in a publication I send Warm Fuzzies to them all day - you have just made me think that perhaps I should be asking if they'd like my copy, as I save only those I'm in.
Thx for this nudge. I'm sorry to say that we learn from other's mistakes (like the huge tumble on my head that I took last week, the day after N Richardson died!!) but I am definitely going to be sending my issues away to friends now instead of 'spreading the T B word' by leaving them in my Drs'/dentist'/health club/child care offices...
My Teddy TalesI'd like to say a big thank you for the wonderful response. I wasn't going to say anything about this but it just bothered me so much and I didn't know were to turn.
Bobbie, I too put 2 + 2 together and just couldn't believe it. I guess she really wanted that book. I would of been happy to give her one ( not that one!!)
Julie has been nice enough to call the magazine, and they have one!

Oh, I'm glad Julie was able to find you a copy, Louise! I called the US office, and they told me they didn't have any more copies. They were going to contact the office in England and ask. I hadn't heard back from them yet. But, sounds like you're getting the magazine!! Yea!!
