Hi everyone - just thought you might like to see these.......... I got to thinking that in these times of financial hardship it might be nice to have something "beary" on offer at the show,  which isn't expensive.......
so I tried my hand at earrings! I've used "Zuni" bear beads as the focus and all semi precious stones and sterling silver wires. And it was HUGE fun - I LOVE playing with beads!

ps - especially chuffed with the "tree" which has tiny mirrors on the ends of the branches - picked it up in a sale for 4 euros50!

They are great Maria, it is a great idea and I'm sure they will sell.  Steve and I actually bought a couple of choker style necklaces at a bear show, they are just regular beads with a zuni bear in the middle.  Everyone loves them and we paid next to nothing for them.  I had actually thought of doing pieces as well, we both like to bead and it's a nice change to work on something different.

Great work Maria, I love your earring and it is fun to have a try at something new.
The tree is a neat way to display them.

Many thanks to you all - glad you like them! I'm hoping to sell some at the show - will give me an excuse to make MORE  . Like I said, I love playing with pretties - think i have a touch of GOLLUM somewhere - preciousssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!
The worst problem was sourcing the materials - HOURS trawling ebay - and a guarantee that ONE place wouldn't have everything i wanted...........ended up buying from three USA sources, three in the Uk and one in Austria.

Well done Maria, they are lovely. I can't use my hands anymore to make fiddly things, guess that's why my bears seem to be getting bigger.  bear_grin I'm sure they will be snapped up.
