I have just designed a new series of 3D Decoupage Teddy Bear Cards from Bears of Bath and thought that you might like to have a look and use them.

Carol, I just visited your website; it's wonderful. I'm a bit envious that you are so creative in so many ways. Your hand embroidery is beautiful. I love the cards and it's very generous of you to share them with everyone. I would love to make cards, but I don't seem to have the talent for it. You should probably sell these instead of giving them away, but it's awfully nice of you to do so.

Thank you Marlys, you're very kind. Perhaps further up the road I will produce a series of cards to sell, but at the moment I'd rather share them with Teddy Bear friends.

Hi Carol, your cards are wonderful. I love the little faces of the bears, so well drawn too. Do you draw by hand or on the computer? Whichever way you have done an awesome job.

Hi Jane,
The bears are all drawn by hand, outlined in ink and then filled using watercolour. I like to set my bears up in a scene and then draw from 'life' as it were. I then scan them and manipulate the text etc on the computer. Glad you like them!

Hello Carol,

Thank you very much for the decoupage cards; it really is very kind of you to let us use them and you should definitely do some to sell - I'm sure they'd do well - haven't seen anything like them in the catalogues I've seen at the craft club I belong to (card-making really rather than general crafts).  We did a session on decoupage at Christmas, but it was a very complicated scene and I never did finish it, but I'd love to try something else and I'd certainly never want to abandon one of your bears!!  I've downloaded them, but need to get some suitable paper, but really looking forward to playing.  Thank you again.

Am also looking forward to spending time reading the stories and getting acquainted with the characters!

Thank you Margaret, I'm glad you like them and I hope you enjoy making them.  Please feel free to pass the designs on to anyone in your craft club if they would like them.
I tried not to make them too complicated to cut out, I know when went to make some 3D cards I bought, there were so many tiny fiddly pieces to cut out, I landed up cheating and leaving them out!

Just to let everyone know I have added a link on the 3D card page which will take you to a page with a normal flat version of these cards which print out A5 size.

Thanks Carol,   I'm sure several of our club would really appreciate them.  I've ordered some of those "squizzers "which make cutting out fiddly bits so much easier and some proper  glue; I've always used the foam pads for the 3D things I do, but would like to try that to get the variation in thickness for  real decoupage.  Looking forward to having fun playing!  Thanks again

Thanks Carolyn, hope you enjoy using them and good luck with the glue Margaret, I found it was a lot easier than the foam pads as you can squash the glue down to whatever thickness you want, plus you can't see the white foam pad sticking out of the back!
