Hello all,

Whilst I was at TBAE in Stratford on Sunday, I saw a lady carrying a wonderful teddy bear rucksack -- literally a hollow teddy bear with all the features but instead allowed items to be placed inside of him, and sporting straps.

Since I have no street cred, I really *want* such a rucksack.  I have looked on ebay and have found some, but they don't interest me, are too small, etc., etc.

Would anyone here know if these things exist within artists here?  I think it's such a wonderful idea and I want one.  :)

Hi Thomas,

There is one lady I know who owns her own teddy rucksack; he even has a name "bearsac".  He travels all around the world with his "owner" Debra Schiman.

She has even written a book about all her travels with bearsac, called "Travels with my teddy bear".    bear_thumb

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Debra is one amazing lady.

You can read all about her (and where she bought her teddy rucksack -> in BELGIUM !!!) on her website : http://www.bearsac.com/index.htm.  It's well worth a visit.

I will keep an eye out for a teddy rucksack in Belgium next time I go shopping  bear_thumb .

Take care,

Peterbear

Thomas, we have been working on a design for one but don't have it completed yet (it takes us awhile sometimes to get a design the way we like it) . What I'm working on is basically a large bear with a zipper in the back so you can put stuff in it.  It has the full head and arms and legs,  it's not a purse it's more like what we would call a knapsack.  I can let you know when we get the design completed and do one up, can always send you pics. Will have the straps on it the same as a knapsack.  Is that what you are talking about?

big hugs

Shane

Since we live in a weird time warp here, can get things like that. I have seen all sorts of things made into rucksacs. Will take some pics when I go shopping again... they cheap as chips here and may tide you over till Shane has his done. Having said that, there probably wont be any now......
