I got this from a newsletter from the PAWS animal welfare group:
In the wild, young beavers often climb onto their mother's back to rest during a swim. At PAWS, a toy stuffed animal was used as a surrogate mom for these orphans during their daily swims.
As my 11 yo daughter said when she saw the picture, "How CUUUUUTE! That's sweet!"
I guess we all need bear hugs sometimes--even baby beavers.
Thanks for sharing,
Cheryl
Oh how neat!!
Sweet little babies!
What a great idea, cute picture too.
Hugs, Jane.
Not the same photo, but there was a similar photo in an ABC some years back. I don't remember what little critters were using the surrogate mom, but there were about half a dozen of them all over a larger teddy bear. It was so cute just like these guys.
Another great service our teddies provide!!
Every creature needs their teddy!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous picture, thanks for sharing it with us.
