Great Halloween over here in Seattle! I had over 50 kids come to the door and many had parents in costumes. I keep smiling after seeing one dad and stopped to wonder why? He came with a bunch of kids, he was carrying a baby. His costume was a silver space suit, something like George Jetson would wear. Then it hit me, he was rather portly and he looked just like a baked potato wrapped in tin foil  bear_happy  I'm sure his kids loved his costume!

Hi Karen!  bear_flower
When we lived in the Seattle area, in a neighborhood, we had tons of trick or treaters!!!  LOVED it!!  MISS that now because we live in a gated community of acre + pieces of land.  Not so many kiddies willing to walk around a neighborhood like ours now.  I think it's fabulous that parents dress up to accompany their kids!!!!  The few kids we had were a little older but were still dressed in costume.....and actually asked us to take their picture as a group!!!!  How things have changed!!!

Warmest bear hugs,

We get lots of trick-or-treaters.  50 or more, depending on weather.

Any kid dressed up as a Teddy Bear always gets double candy!   bear_grin

Wow Karen that's a lot of kids!  bear_original
Not one kid here! However I did turn the porch light off and shut the shutters. My daughter went to a party and my husband being a cop had to work Halloween so I was home alone. By the time I can get to the door the kids have rang the bell a dozen times and are banging on the door so I decided to not pass any candy out this year. But to not have one kid come to the door was very strange! My daughter said it was a ghost town out there!  bear_wacko

Halloween is not so big here - but it is getting bigger.

We carved 4 pumpkins and put them in the bay window, a neighbours a couple of doors up really went to town and dressed up the whole house as they were having a party.

We had plenty of cute little ones this year  bear_wub  and almost ran out of sweets (but we didn't and I ate the rest) probably only 10 lots but most were in groups of 3's or 4's -including a fed up looking ten year old who had obviously decided he was too old but was having to take his younger siblings - we made sure he got some too  bear_grin

I enjoy it very much  bear_happy  (especially now that my little sis is a bit older and I don't have to take her out  bear_whistle )

Karen, loved the story about the dad in foil.  I can just picture it. bear_grin   We did not have one trick or treater.  Usually there are about 20 kids but this year the neighborhood was so quiet with not even the older kids walking around.  The fire department had put on a party at the local event center on Friday night so I guess that the kids all went there.

Well we only had about 20 here.  It was raining so I guess they all went to parties instead. I have a ton of candy left over (unfortunately).  I know my three will want it once they finish their own (which was a gallon size freezer bag STUFFED!!!).
