If you have not got your seasonal flu vaccination, GET IT. If you have not got your h1n1 vaccination, it's available to everyone now, GET IT. I don't care about the arguments on mercury, lack of testing, etc. This is wicked and you should do everything in your power to prevent this flu. The media is not exaggerating this, I know I am living it right now with my son. Please take care of yourselves, and get your flu shots to stop the spread.
Hugs,
Alison
Oh Dear Alison, I am sorry. I hope he is better soon. What a rotten time of year to be sick. I have gotten both shots with no ill effects. I definitely don't want the flu

     I'm really sorry, Alison . . . you've been a super caretaker and I hope Tyler responds favorably to the fluids/antibiotics. All of you have been through this nightmare long enough - it's time for recovery. Extra wishes for having a happy Christmas.
Hope he gets to feeling better soon, so sorry he is sick!
Poor Tyler, I do hope he is soon feeling a lot better, poor lad. I have also had both shots with no ill affect. My arm was sore for a couple of days, but nothing much at all. Take action everyone and don't get sick like Alison's son Tyler. Give him a huge hug from me and wish him well Alison. (((HUG)))
Hugs, Jane.
Lots of hugs and good wishes for your little one to start feeling better soon. Immunisations are so important.
I will pass along your well wishes to Tyler. His fever is down a bit this morning. I just cannot stress enough that the risks of the immunizations are minuscule compared to the risk on the flu. I was able to get the both vaccinations because of my health problems. I have been caring for Tyler and have not got sick. I have to believe that they work! I just wish I could have got the h1n1 for Tyler. It became available at his dr. office this week, too late! Please, please, please, get vaccinated!
Hugs,
Alison
Poor Tyler, Sending big hugs his way

   Hugs to Tyler from me too... it's so scary when a loved one is so sick! I'm glad to hear his fever has come down and I hope he gets well quickly!
Oh poor Tyler I am so sorry
And thanks for telling us this story, I've been umming and arring about having the swine flu shot....I have the flu shot each year but there is so much fear being raised with the swine flu shot. sigh. I will be rethinking my decision to not have it, thank you
There is nothing more worrying to (especially as a mum) see our babies sick no matter what their age. My daughter Sam is 14 next month and she has had every immunisation shot recommended through out her developmental stages most recently the cervical cancer shot. I said to her for the matter of a few minutes having a sore arm is nothing. I am her mum (and it is my job as I see it) to protect her from everything that can cause her to not enjoy her life to the fullest. She was given the swine flu shot through school this past winter as well. I know there are arguments for and against these things but if anything were to happen to her that I could have stopped I would know no rest. Alsion I hope Tyler is soon on the mend and that you are taking care of yourself as well thats important too.

Hi Alison,
I hope Tyler is feeling better today? Here in the UK they still insist on having the vaccination even if you've already had swine flu as it's still supposed to be a good idea. I've had Pleurosy as a result of flu many years ago & that's bad enough - pneumonia is worse. Poor little chap, I do so hope he's better soon & the excitement & magic of Christmas can bring him round to having a lovely time?
My very best wishes for you all - you must be exhausted...
God Bless,
Julia x
Hi Alison
I hope that Tyler is on the mend and you are able to have a lovely Christmas.
Hugs

Thank you all for the well wishes for Tyler. He is improving. His appetite is coming back and he's even getting his quirky sense of humor back. But, he couldn't finish decorating the tree this evening. He finally pooped out. We are very grateful that he was able to come home from the hospital for Christmas and that he will be fine. We're following doctors orders and hope that we can get his lungs clear by the time school resumes. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get this and other flu vaccinations. I will never hesitate to get my kids their flu shots again.
Merry Christmas to you all!
Hugs,
Alison
