Hi
I am in the middle of rewriting the questionniare that I use to write Artist profiles for Teddy Bear Times.
I would be very interested in hearing comments from you about what you would like to see included in the questionnaire i.e. what you want to know about artists.
Also, if you are an artist, what sort of questions you would like to be asked.
At the moment, my favourite question is: 'Name three things about yourself that may surprise readers?'
I look forward to reading your replies.
Best Wishes
Dawn
Hi Dawn
This sounds fab. I have to admit, I love reading Artist bios etc.
I know they're the usual but I really like knowing how people got started, where their inspiration comes from, how they've improved, what they're most proud of etc.
I'd also love to know if they have a favourite bear of their own, and/or anyone else.
Can't wait to see some interviews in the magazine soon.

Hey Dawn,
I, too, love to read artist profiles to know where they started and stuff like that.
I think it would be interesting to get to know what advice they would give to a newbie getting started with bear making, maybe what books they'd recommend or something like that.
Hope I could help
Hugs, Ariane
I would like to know what inspires them...
I'd like to know:
- What is their process of design from start to finish? From idea to end product? How long does it take?
-What are their favorite materials to work with?
-Do they have to make prototypes out of paper or muslin first and adjust patters? Do they start their design on paper or a sculpture?
-Did they take classes or college art courses? If so what college classes helped in their bear making? Meaning what classes would they recommend to help in bear making?
-What is their best advice to new bear makers?
-What inspires them?
-Where do they look for ideas?
-I would love to know if they teach bear making.
I'm sure I will think of more questions
Wow, Michelle, your questions are great, I can't think of anything else I would want to know ...
Hugs,
Janice
I always like to know a little about where the artist is from in the world, and just LOVE to see the workspace where the bears are designed and created, what has been their favourite creation so far and why, what inspires them, favourite fabrics, colours etc, any funny bear making stories....I'm sure I'll think of more!
