Hi all, thanks for all the advice , Cooper is doing better everyday, he did have a messed up tummy, the vet said to feed him chicken and rice for a few days, and he is loving it. He does love to eat, he has not had anymore accidents and he has started his daily walks with Miss Tiff. he really loves walking on the leash. I bought him a coat today since he had to be shaved. He does not look like the same dog with all the fur gone bless his heart but I know he feels better. He will look like a [INVALID] Schnauzer before ya know it
He and Tiff are getting along better every day, he started to show some interest in toys today and that excited Tiff....Tiff has TONS of toys to share.......
The day before the shave.................
After.................
Your two babies are so cute!! Cooper is gonna be one handsome pup!
Oh dear poor Cooper I think he is going to be feeling the cold until that coat starts growing back again but I reckon he must be feeling so much better for having all that matted coat taken off. Lovely pics of the 2 of them together and both are looking quite content
I think Cooper is going to be okay. :)
If it wasn't for the lack of his mustache he wouldn't look bad at all. We used to get our Schnoz clipped short in the summer. When his hair grows in he'll look just fine.
Smart idea getting him a coat!
Cooper still looks a little depressed, yet.
See how he walks with his shoulders hunched and his head down? That's a submissive posture.
That's because he's a little afraid or unsure.
Compare that to the way Tiff walks. She's got her shoulders square and her head is up. That's a more confident, dominant posture.
When you see Cooper waling around with his head up most of the time, you'll know he's coming around.
It's good that you have a dog bed for each of them. :)
That way Cooper knows that this is HIS SPOT. It's his little domain. That'll help him feel at home a lot faster.
It looks like Cooper and Tiff like to be together. That's good. Dogs are social, pack animals. They like to have "dog buddies." That'll help Cooper acclimate. But, also, don't be afraid to let the dogs be apart. As much as they are social, each one needs his own little domain that's his alone.
If Cooper has stopped peeing inside the house that's a good sign that he's decided that this is his home.
When he starts walking around with his head up and showing you that characteristic Schnauzer "perky" behavior, you'll know he's finally settling in. I bet by the time Thanksgiving rolls around he'll be a regular member of the household.
Tami - Cooper looks like he's going to be THE most handsome boy!!
My girlfriend at work has a miniature schnauzer and he's stunning!!
Hugs,

Cooper is a handsome dog even without his fur. Most of the people in my area of the country do shave this type of dog except for the face so once his whiskers grow back he is going to be really cute.
He looks so comfy in his little bed. You have to wonder if he ever had his own bed or any toys. Poor lucky fellow.

He looks handsome already!!! They look like a good match, I'm sure they will be best friends before you know it!
He is a very lucky boy.
Cooper is just cute as a button, both with and without all his hair! Thanks for sharing the photos. Your Westie is ADORABLE as well!
Aww, love that last pic where Tiff looks like she's watching over him, gladd he's settling in more
