I have a rescued young cat that I adopted, Louie. He's not a beautiful cat, just plain cat~Louie. Louie at first started leaving me a seagull feather by the food dish during the night. Lately he has started leaving a penny/nite that I find in the morning when I feed him. No idea where he gets the penny? My only pennies are WAY up on a shelf meaning he would have to take the penny in his mouth?! A penny is a pretty good tip for someone without pockets ;-> 8 cents and counting......

Is that true??? How clever he is!
Just hope he finds a stash of half-dollars! What a sweet kitty to leave you presents!
That's quite a cat!
It fascinates me that no matter how many billions of cats have walked the earth, each one of them seems to think up something new and unique to do.

I guess he is paying you room and board. What a wonderful cat. You are quite lucky to have found him.

Tami,
Yep, it's true. I have never given him a penny and he doesn't play with pennies so I have no idea how he knows where, or what they are? Maybe because the first time he left one at his empty food dish I thanked him and he knows I like pennies?? HE does try to give me things. I guess he is very thankful for his rescue and new home Animals are amazing and, it's true, each has a very unique personality.

What a sweet and CLEVER cat! He obviously greatly appreciates you, and is clever enough to pay for his meals in cash, rather then the usual dead mice!

Aww, obviously a very generous cat, board and lodgings paid for in advance!
He is giving you presents Karen. Mine do this all the time. One of my cats likes to steal my jewelry (when I forget to put it away) and drops it on my pillow or on my side of the bed. Once I befriended a neighbor’s outdoor cat. He was really sweet. I paid more attention to him then his real family. Well one day I came home to a dead bird dropped outside my door and the little stinker sitting proudly by it. My dad's cat caught and killed a lizard. While dad was watching TV his little kitty dropped the dead lizard on his lap. All of these instances are where the cats are bringing presents to the ones they love.....
Well, that's better than my cat did for me. She used to leave a piece of dry dog food (big chunks) in my shoe. There's nothing like putting your shoe on in the morning and having a big chunk of dog food in the toe. Money would have been so much nicer.
Could have been worse Nina, could have been wet dog food
