I am relatively new to bear making  and I am looking for some sparse short pile (2-4mm) mohair.  Does anyone know where I can buy some ?

Have you checked out this forum's sponsor?  I think Intercal has the best selection of short sparse mohair.

Seconding Donna, Intercal has a great short sparse pile in lots of pretty colours.. It's one of my favourite mohairs to use..
