Dear All,
I wonder what other artists have found when working with very delicate vintage fabrics?!\
I have found by re-enforcing the silk from behind using heavy interfacing, I am then able to sculpt and shape the bear's anatomy with relative ease.
After a few years studying Character Animation, I am now back creating my one of a kind critters at the same time as developing animated toys for my own films and books.(I will keep you updated !!)

gorgeous fabrics ...Ive made bears from embroidered silk tea cosies in the past and the fabric was already backed which was great.These two are beautiful !xx
