Hi, I am new to this forum, and trying to identify this little bear. I think it might be a Steiff, but I don't know.

No button in left ear, but has a hole indicating it might have had a button or pin at some point.
Hump in the back.
Felted pads on back paws only.
Long spoon-shaped arms.
Fully jointed and swiveling head.
Long light gold mohair.
Approx. 12 in tall.

I'm afraid it's not a Steiff, Claudine. It's almost certainly a hand-crafted bear--probably a one-of-a-kind from an individual bearmaker, not a manufacturer.

I agree.  My mom collected Steiff my whole life.  He sure is a cute bugger though bear_wub
