bear_original Question – what kind of joints do you gals prefer?  How about head joints?  I am using cotter pins but after turning them for the joints, my fingers go numb!  AHHH!!!

kbonsall

why would they take off your listings?  If you are selling things cheaper -that is the whole reason people go to ebay, to get deals - maybe I am missing something...

kbonsall

I can't see the picture either

kbonsall

Wow - I thought that all bear makers were friendly, cuddly people, I guess I was wrong!  I like to look at what others have accomplished or how they create certain looks and use that to my advantage - I dont think that should offend anyone - Maybe they are intimidated cuz you gals do such awesome work!  I cant believe that they get nasty like that though!  WOW  - i was wondering why some items on ebay were listed as "private" - I think that ebay should block those users if they do that, no one should have to put up with being harassed or fearing to put something up for auction or, for that matter, bidding on something!  that is why things are on ebay and if they dont like being outbid, maybe that is the wrong way for them to buy! that is my two cents! bear_original

kbonsall

Stories like this make me not want to sell on ebay!

kbonsall

bear_original  Thank you, Laura - I would rather ask first and not have you get angry bear_original

kbonsall

Laura - would you mind if I did something similar???

kbonsall

Sure Winney - Along with my other duties at the lawfirm - I order office supplies too!

kbonsall

Yes - Winney was a HAMSTER!!! she was a cute little bugger! she was pregnant when we got her, didnt know that but one day I heard squeaking and there they were, six little wiggling pink things!!!

I would like to be a vet assistant - I will be hard to have to be around when an animal passes away or get put to sleep but usually it is of old age or they are really sick so in a way, it is better off for them than being in pain.. that is the way I think of it, then it isnt as upsetting - up in doggie heaven!:)

these cats look like they are insideout !!!! AHHHHHH

kbonsall

I believe you are referring to a "binder clip" they come in sizes from mini to large

kbonsall

I am actually thinking of going back to school to be a vet or vet assistant (I work in a lawfirm now)  I had vet science classes in high school and loved them (kinda like my art classes).  I love animals - right now I have two pomeranians - a black female (2 yrs old) named Daisy and a cream male (3 mos) named Max

In the past I had a hamster named Winney and at one time I had four rabbits - 3 lop ears and one dutch... bear_original

When I use to make fimo clay beads, I found it easier to use a toaster oven.... which reminds me of a story that my sibilings call teh "Black Fimo Toaster Oven" - someone had the "toast" button down when I put my fimo beads in and let's just say that the oven needed to be replaced and there was not salvaging my beads!!!! bear_grin:lol::lol:

My husband and I are both "clean freaks" and need to have things organized - by the way, I am not obsessive compulsive!!!  Things just have their place and it drives me bonkers if they arent where they are suppose to be!!! bear_laugh

kbonsall

Is this the same as having a bear with wired arms?

kbonsall

So many ideas!  My whole reason for the tush tags was so that if I ever become "famous", people can identify my work.... I have big dreams! I have been keeping a chart with info like when I started a bear, when I finished, the name of the bear, materials used, who I gave/sold it to and how much it was sold for.  I am a very very organized person so yall probably think I am nuts but I keep track of everything... (No, I am not a pack rat! my husband would probably disagree - but personally, I think I only keep things that are sentimental!)  Ok, now I am babbling! bear_rolleyes

kbonsall

Oh my goodness penny, you read my mind - I almost posted this yesterday!  I sewed my first two by hand and then I tried to sew a bigger one by machine and it didnt like the fabric, it was too slippy and it just continued to sew in the same spot!!! I think I would rather sew by hand, I think then the bear, to me, means so much more and is a more personal item.... nothing against you that perfer machines.. probably when I start making clothed bears, I will use my machine for that bear_laugh I am sure it takes four times as long to hand sew but for me it is a stress reliever

kbonsall

Thank you Kirsten, that is right in my price range!!!! bear_original

kbonsall

I think I will eventually do the professional tag thing but a homemade verison will do for now (:

kbonsall

Good idea - I do want a tush tag but dont want to pay the big bucks (until I make profit from my bears - I just started, didnt try to sell any yet) to have them commercially printed... your idea is perfect!  Thank you!!!!

kbonsall

Any idea where I can get Hang Tags and Tush Tags made?  Do any of you use Tush Tags?  I would really like to use them so that people can identify my work when/if the Hang Tag is no longer with the bear… Thanks!!! bear_laugh:D:D

kbonsall

I empty my temp files daily, which includes temp internet and cookies (which is only a good idea if you have your websites bookmarked). Also, don’t forget to empty out recycling bins, they can slow a computer down also…:)

kbonsall

I hope that one day my work will be the kind that will be up for awards!  You all do such beautiful work!  I just have to look at it this way, I am at the beginning point in bear making and can only get better from here! I look forward every day to going home and starting where I left off with my bears... bear making and my two Poms really make great stress relievers! bear_original bear_grin

kbonsall

Winney - I work in a lawfirm and asked one of the lawyers what he thought and suggested that since I am starting out, not to register my name yet - but if I become "famous" in the future to do so.... Like I said, I am just starting out so I dont have spare cash laying around - maybe some day though!!! I can always dream !!! bear_laugh

kbonsall

Jane - I like the name "Bare Bears" - I think it is creative! Just goes to show that you can't please everyone:)
