It is very scary. I didn't want to post any bad things on here. I shared only with one person on TT.
Last weekend on Easter holidays, my Dad was robbed and beaten up by someone just in front of the house.
He is at the hospital now and it's very scary when you look at your Dad don't  recognise him..  

Right now he is getting all the treatment but still feels very bad.

It's scary in nowadays world.  :pray:

Eileen, that is so true! Even though I started a full-time job, I don't talk too much about it..And still I don't talk much about my bears with my collegues - they are all guys.. (how my hubby alllowed me to work in such place, I wonder???))   :twisted:

What I like about TT, that we share not only bear stuff but we share our lives. I know what's San Diego like, or what kind of cats Dilu has, or what milk farm looks like in US, and you know how to make Russian borsch!!And so on and on......I love this place! Thank you, Intercal for letting me travel all over the world and meet all of you, guys!!

Here is my two cents..  :hug:

The Easter is here and i'm ready to color eggs!

I read so many posts about dyeing mohair, so I decided to try myself too. We don't have kool-aid here in Russia, unfortunatelly..   

I took some egg paint which is cheap and available every where.
I follwed the instruction, then boiled it in micriwave (with the paint) for 1-2 min and washed.

I like the colors I got. good for anime, acsessories, or bear parts, or maybe a whole bear!

I washed it and color stays pretty good.

We don't have this stuff here in Russia..
But what I did is used an egg paint. We paint eggs on Easter.
I boiled it in microwave for couple min and got pretty cool colors..
I dyed white mohair.

Funny thing, I found it when I used my regular head pattern. Not sure why i decided to put that round piece of mohair instead of gathering..The head turned out awful..      The pattern of traditional teddy doesn't have almost any neck at all. But that bear had one, an awful one, because the body was traditional too.
Eventually, I redid whole bear and he turned out to be the popular one. It was Stepan.

I'm writing it to make sure that the pattern for the long neck bear should be a little different from the traditional one.  :hug:

Hope you'll make more! You should try this pattern in unusual colors..maybe orangr or green or deep pink!
