That is exactly how I did mine. I must say it is quite easy, and it looks good, it adds depth to the eye, and it is more realistic. The video tutorial is good, very well explained.
How adorable they are!
I'm also experimenting on eye painting, and was considering the other day that I might as well do a visual of my experiments on the blog...I'm no expert at all, but I would be happy to share my 'findings' as I go. I will let you know when I have done it!
I have an Etsy shop. I think Etsy is really well made and has great features. I haven't sold that much through Etsy though. I sell mostly through Bearpile, sometimes I put a piece on auction on e-bay because of the exposure, even if it IS expensive.
This year I will be trying an on-line show for the first time. I will be doing the Teddies Worldwide Christmas show in November. You have to make pieces exclusively for the show here, and keep it 'under wraps' until then, so it is something a bit different from what I was used. I generally make a piece and put it up for adoption right away. With the Teddies Worldwide you have to plan your 'collection' and get it ready, keeping it to yourself....and hope it sells during the show. If it doesn't , then you can always sell the pieces through the usual sites afterwards
.
Welcome to Facebook Thelma. I also liked it!
This mouse is really adorable! I also love the fur you have used.
Can't wait to see the cat!
How cute she is!
Oh, wow, I LOVE to see the 'backstage' pictures. They really give me a feeling of the artist at work! Thank you Pink and Paula for sharing!
I did some 'renovating' in my blog recently, and I put a page about my workspace.

It looks so tidy in the pictures....nothing like it is now that I'm in the middle of a project!
Thank you Michelle!
I also have my work room at home. It never gets lonely though, as my children's playroom is right across the landing. If they are not outside playing, then no risk of feeling alone, or bored.
I also tend to do everything else that is needed in the house before feeling all right to do my crafts, but I guess it is OK as my first job occupation is 'hausfrau' (namely 'housewife') and my craft comes second anyways.
Thank you Vicki!
Thank you girls!
How sweet!
Thank you Pink!
Hello!
I'm finally back after the long summer break!
Dear Bobi has been waiting for me to get back and put him up for adoption....
He is now available on Bearpile:

Thanks for looking!
I love your bear Mariposa!
I have also entered the URSA, it is very exciting, lots of great creations!
Good luck to all the contestants!
Beautiful little one!
My children have teddies in similar materials. I have to admit that when they really are too dirty for words, I put them in the washing machine, gentle cycle, and wash them that way. I also put them in the tumbler (drying machine?), always gentle program. They come out clean and nice....but I understand if you feel it would be a risk!
....I know, now everybody will say that I am a racist and treat manufacturer teddies different from my handmade ones....
She's very cute!
He really looks like a sweet old man!
Love him!
Thank you John!
She has very sweet and endearing eyes...and she looks alive!
I love the concept of a 'real' bear with a teddy bear!
Thank you Jenbee and Tommie!
Tommi: yes, a poodle is actually on my to do list...maybe this autumn. Now I'm off for the Summer break!
He has a sweet and kind face!
Conni and Thelma, thank you!!
