I was off looking for picture...I think you can sort of see what I ended up with. I really didn't take a very good photo of his bent leg. I did the same thing with the arms..."shape shifting".

He's sitting flat in this photo but when seated on something like a shelf or books his little legs actually hang with his toes pointed in a more natural direction.
I've only done ONE bent leg and was quite happy with it. I have no idea why I haven't done another.
I used my original leg pattern and then Nancy Tillberg's directions on page 118 (101 Bears to Make) to "shape shift" the pattern to the shape I wanted and redrew a new leg pattern.
Have fun!!!
Sandi,
Yes, it's broke down by country and then alphabetically within the country by last name.
It's very nice. Mindy did an outstanding job!!!  Very fun to look at all the different bear artists.
Hugs,
Shantell
You don't have your copy yet, Shelli. I got mine early last week...you surely should have yours ANY MOMENT...that is unless it went via Canada.
Karen....I just think Dilu's little Golly wants a snuggle. "Here pretty Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!!!" They maybe ornery...but since I have one of her little girls I can honestly say they CAN be well behaved (when bribed enough).

As you already know, I just love your bears and Joshua is no exception. He's magnificant and just makes you want to snuggle right up to him.
Congrats on your move...as stressful as they are. Hugglets will be over before you know it and you can sit back and enjoy your new surroundings...or at least I hope you can.

Hugs,
Shantell
Oooh....I love it when the spring flowers appear. I too have flowers starting to bloom...crocus & snowdrops. My daffodils and tulips are all above ground...no blooms yet. My bleeding hearts are starting to peek though the ground as well as a bunch of other stuff.
Now it needs to quit raining so hard otherwise they are all going to float right out of the ground and down the creek.
Congrats Chrissi...I've been watching in the midst and having fun with this post although I didn't participate in either the thread or the drawing.

I know nothing about traveling with bears...but I do know about traveling by plane and yes they practically rip apart your luggage if they suspect anything strange....label them with as much information as possible...just to be safe. My ex likes to be sure to leave his dirty underwear on top just be annoying
especially when traveling to Europe!!! He saves it up!!!
More importantly....HAVE A GREAT TRIP. I enjoyed the East Coast the few times I visited.

Congratulations Judi...so well deserved.
As someone who has been and who still is struggling with serious eye problems for several years now, I understand your fears and worries. I shall keep you in my thoughts and prayers for the best possible outcome.

When I was dealing with a rather destructive person in my life once, a dear friend (actually former sister-in-law) told me that we are given people in our lives as role models but we are also shown people throughout our lives as examples of how NOT to behave.
I've always remembered that when I've had to deal with this particular person in my life as well as dealing with other rather difficult situations. It's actually served me well.
Sorry you had to hear someone be so blatantly rude who obviously was only trying to fluff her own feathers but in reality made herself look like a fool.
Hugs,
You are making me hungry...stop it!!!!
Mashed potatoes...lots of them...warm with lots of REAL butter!!!!
and of course...vanilla bean icecream...anytime...anyplace...anyday...any occassion...with just about any topping

Ha....Kelly I was thinking the same thing...although I wasn't going to say it....Glad you did!!!!
In all honesty, THIS is truly what makes ME want to work smarter, try harder and just keep keeping going going going...okay and those wonderful little emails I get from the collector who gets my little packages in the mail and tells me how much cuter my littles ones are in person and how delighted they are to have them and on and on....(is that not the longest run on sentences in the world).
All these wonderful works of art and creativity and hard work are reason for these nomination. Once again, congrats to everyone who received a nominations and to those who entered.
Hugs,
Shantell
Congratulations!!!

Awww Shelli, How dare those boys leave you alone on your birthday.
Sounds like the perfect opportunity for a day of self pampering...soy latte, pedicure, shopping, or whatever YOU love to do but never get a chance to because you're too busy with everyone elses needs.
Whatever it is you do...enjoy YOUR day!!!

Oh good grief (is there such a thing) I have nothing to add that hasn't already been spoken. Just wanted to add my hug...that's all. If it weren't for all these wonderful people here at TT, I would have hung up my mohair, needle and thread a long time ago. Whenever I get frustrated, discouraged and don't know what to do next, THIS is where I come for help, a pat on the back or a kick in the butt...always well deserved I might add.

I wanted to add my HUGE congratulations to everyone not only for your nominations but for your wonderful work as well. I've been absent as of late...a bit under the weather for many reasons but wanted to take a moment to express my support and hold my glass of champagne up with you all.

Oh Jeannie, I wish that were the case but unfortunately without going into all the gross details it's not.
Thanks again, everyone. I've been telling everyone I know and anyone who will listen.
See if they come down my driveway again. Hmpf!!!
Hugs,
Thanks ladies for letting me vent and share my sad story. I just ended up going to bed last night and having a good cry about the whole thing. I also believe in karma and only hope that this person ends up getting what they have coming to them. I absolutely love living in the country but it does have its heartbreaking moments and this certainly was one of them.
But on a very happy note....it's lambing season...and I just love seeing the little lambs standing on top of their mammas as if they own the world. So so cute. I'll try to get some photos to share. They are just so sweet.
Hugs,
Shantell
Jenny,
This is for sure MY absolute favorite...I adore this little one. I love the way you have his sitting, his expression, his fur, color combination...just the entire package. Hmmm...plane ticket, price of the bear, damn...I can't afford him right now.
Gorgeous...NOW STOP IT!!!

I have some big business plans in the works that will be much easier to put into motion if we stay where we are! (Can't tell, please don't ask!)
I hate it when people do this to me   I'm NOT asking...just pointing this out!!!
I think congratulations are in order, right?!!!

Thanks for the wonderful stories. I do know there ARE wonderful caring animal lovers out there. What bothers me so much is that they removed this poor bucks antlers while he was still alive and then just left him to die. They could have put him out of his misery and then taken them...not that I approve of that either but at least he wouldn't have suffered. Hitting an animal happens...I've almost hit a deer myself...scared the daylights right out of me.
I wish my neighbor would have kept it to himself. I know he meant well.

Many of you know that I live several miles out in the country down a long driveway with one lovely elderly couple as my neighbor who shares my driveway. We have deer everywhere and they often eat my flowers, apples and frustrate me to no end but I love them none the less.
The other morning I was leaving very early and noticed a deer lying next the drive out of the corner of my eye and didn't pay much attention to it as I was in a bit of a hurry and forgot about it when I returned a couple hours later. They lay in this area often and are use to us driving by and just watch us quietly hoping we don't see them...but we do.
My elderly neighbors brings my mail almost every day (unless I happen to get to it first
) and mentioned that he saw the deer and stopped and said that he thought it was starving and was calling the wildlife people to come and check on it. Later, that evening I noticed it had not made it...very sad and I was heartbroken to think that one of our little creatures had starved and we didn't even know.
But such is the circle of life.
This afternoon I learned that my neighbors son removed the deers body...well apparently the BUCK had severe damage to it's body, broken pelvis and ribs. It had been hit by a car AND they had removed it's horns. It was the forked horn deer we had been admiring the last few weeks in our pastures. Not only had someone hit a deer and dumped it down our driveway but they mutilated it while it was still alive.
I am FURIOUS!!! HEARTBROKEN!!! and beside myself to say the least. What is wrong with people? There are things you are suppose to do when you hit an animal...and mutilating them and leaving them to die is NOT one of them.

Even in the BRRRRRRRRRRRR dead of winter your yard is beautiful. But I agree...enough with the Winter already...give me some sunshine...now quite as much as Danni but some sun already!!! I'm shivering along with the palm trees. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
