Yet another great little mousebear. He's a great character and suits his name.
Hugs,
Hi Ariane,
I put eyelids onto some of my bears' eyes, most of which are 1mm onyx beads. I cut out semicircular shapes from ultrasuede and then glue and stitch them on my bear's eyes. The really thin ultrasuede is best for this so it is not too bulky, but I have used the regular ultrasuede too. (Sambrook bears sells a good selection of the really thin ultrasuede: http://www.sambrookbears.co.uk/acatalog/ultrasuede.html)
I fix the eyes into place first and then I put a small dab of glue towards the back of the eye/bead before placing the eyelid on. I stitch the corners of the eyelids down first and then add a few tiny stitches around the back of the eyelids and into the head.
I use white ultrasuede circles for the eyewhites when I want to add this feature to my bears' eyes. The bear in the pic below has eyewhites and eyelids.
I hope this helps
Hugs,
Oh, very sweet. The little lace dress is lovely - a nice finishing touch.
What an adorable little guy! Love those shorts too
Gorgeous! Love the dress too. The overall appeal is just lovely.
Simply stunning! I saw your bears at Stratford and was very taken with them. I was later disappointed when a bear I was particularly taken with had gone. The eyelashes looked amazing and the pretty dress was a lovely touch - very Sense and Sensibility
I'm still trying to figure out how to attach eyelashes to 1mm beads without the eyes looking bulky.
Hugs,
Beautiful!
What great work on the embroidery and the mousebear is cute too!
Saw this bear at the show and it was so much more glorious in the fur
Photos don't do it justice.
Oh my.... just gorgeous!!!
I'm pleased to say that Ellie May has found a new home. She is going to live in Singapore. She's one lucky little girl
Thank you everyone for taking to the time to send your comments.
Very cute and loveable!
A few weeks ago I made a little scruffy bear called Clayton, now here is his sister, Ellie May.
She is 3" tall and has been made with sparse, scruffy fabric just like her brother. She is looking forward to meeting her new family.

Cute little guy
He's great!  Love his littel friend too
Gorgeous little character - makes me smile
Daphne and Carol - thank you for taking the time to comment on 'duckie'.
I'm really chuffed with the responses I've had about him as it's taken a while to get to this point. I can't wait to make another one and see how that one turns out. I love the attitude he has - I had Donald Duck in the back of my mind as he is a character full of attitude too.
... and in my favourite colour too. Ho-hum, we've got our summer holiday to pay for this week....
 They're both wonderful but my favourite has to be Trevor - there's just something about his expression.
Just doing some catching up as I've missed being on here for a while and I think Lilac is fab! I love the pose with the book!
He's lovely! Just had a look at all of him on your website too and I love his big feet.
Lovely face!
I just love the colours too and her matching eyes
Such a little cutie-pie!
Gee-wiz!
Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments
