Just like everyone, My family has been hit hard by smoking related illness's. Workmates, friends, their families and their friends.  It's a never ending cycle of pain, dread and horrors.

I have fibromyalgia. I'm so glad that I dont have the burden of smoking on top of that.
We owe it to ourselves to live the best possible life we can. Smoking only KILLS.

So we all have an option.... DEATH BY FAGS or CHOCOLATE CAKE.   

Kim, start the piece you want to do off of the bear first . Once you have it started then fit it to the mohair and get busy with the needle. I  measure and cut with the scissors.
If I dont think a piece is working say; his nose I will cut it off and try again. I felt the nose piece the cheeks mouth all on the foam before I attach. I get a basic shape that way. Then I add more shiver and sculpt. With needle felting it is trial and error. A very hands on craft in the way it is taught and learnt. I keep a little finger bowl with one drop of dish suds and a little warm water. I use my finger to lightly wipe over the felt , it settles the fibres down and lets me sculpt better.

Stay up late shelli and keep finding this stuff. Because I have no idea how to find this sort of thing. My family love a scream!!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!:cool:

Here in Perth the queues became so long that the police had to clear them.
The sale of scooters apparently has gone through the roof. And in the CBD the sale of push bikes is up. People have finally abandoned their cars for the train.
People are paying their petrol bills with electronic hardware. The servo's seem to becoming a hock shop. (it's more of a iou sort of thingy)
We have'nt seen the worst yet...........:(:(

I dont no what to say about the show. All coastal entrants. It was nice to meet the people behind the bears. I met a lady by the name of Trudi Grant. Her Polar bear got best of the show. There were lots of oohh's & aahh's when anyone walked by this bear. I did meet alot of other designers , picked their brains. Names I'm afraid I dont remember. Trudi was the only one that made a lasting impression. They were all lovely dont get me wrong.Really nice friendly people.There were a number of artist bears for sale. One young woman had made a bison. All shaggy coat and horns. Excellent work. Picked her brain aswell. Well what can I say , I lovely day had by all. Especially the ladies from geraldton. They won heaps of awards.

I'm a little distracted. I have a yard full Of ringneck parrots in my garden.  ssshhh... They are just so beautiful. Multi coloured greens , about the size of a galah, but with a really long green tail. They have a bright yellow band around their necks & have the most melodic  trill. It's not a sound that  you would ordinarily attribute to a parrot. Just gorgeous.  Will have pictures of my entire life for you all to puruse to your hearts content by the end of September. I know it's along wayaway. till then spotchis lata(r). I reckon ya all pretty grouse.
