NONE OF YOUR BEES WAX LOL he he he
Shelli ~ Good idea.
Daphne ~ You're right, we should put them in our signatures.
Kim ~ Are you back to work yet? Where do you work? What is your boss's name? LOL
Well that looks like a lot of work.
Hmm ... In a million years I never would have thought to make such a list (I don't normally check to see who has what on Ebay. If a link to an auction is provided under the Bears For Sale section, I view the auction, but don't typically search otherwise.)
Kim ~ Are you at work?
Yup, that's correct! Thanks Eileen.
What team work girls for keeping an eye out for everyone.
Yes it is ... but it's frustrating that we all really do have better things to do with our time than to watch out for pirates ... <unless they're the Johnny Depp variety>.
I'd love to believe that Ebay will eventually seek a solution to this problem ... but I also know that sometimes we tend to fight the fires for quite awhile before we decide to find a fix to the problem.
Until then, I guess we just keep reporting.
Deb, He is soo sweet! I'm glad he is yours. I have two and I adore them!!!!
Jenn ~ Doxies?
They're some kind of devil/angel thing aren't they?!
It was copied yet again! This time the "seller" in Hong Kong with item located in UK. Well gosh, I'm lookin' at him right now, so I guess he's quite a ways away from where he's supposed to be!
Chrissie ~
I had three or four emails from people I didn't know (besides the post here from Penny). I responded that the auction posted by verybigm was fraudulent, and posted their questions and my answers onto the auction. If it happens to me again, I will do the same thing.
I don't have a website yet, but I am going to start using the wording in my auctions that Laura Lynn suggested.
Some of us artists have been putting the following text in our auctions to help protect the teddy bear auction environment: "This bear is being offered directly from the artist if the seller ID is XXXX" Also... many bear aritsts do have an "About Me" page you can check out.
Also see Ruth Johnson's post under the same thread <Regarding Fake eBay auctions>.
Best thing is for collectors to be very aware. A search of the exact auction title will show both the legit and fraudulent auctions ... unless of course, the title has been changed.
Thank you Ruth! And welcome to Teddy Talk!
Every time I let Ginger out I rang the bell I hung by the back door and now she rings it when she wants to go out.
How cool is that.
Pretty dang cool! I'm gonna look for a bell!
Yup ~ Bosco is the name! And he's sooo funny, and sweet (like the hub).
We have other dogs, and they're doing an excellent job training him! We got tired of hearing him cry at night, so we put our oldest doggie (Shorty, pug/chihuahua mix) in the kitchen with him, and blocked the exits! No more crying.
This area has a fairly significant Amish/Mennonite population. The store my sis works at deals mostly with a lovely Mennonite man who breeds dogs and sells only to who he personally approves.
Now if I get my new camera, I'm a happy girl ... I'm a happy girl anyway, but you know what I mean.
Another German account...I reckon this has been hijacked too, the descriptions are written in Chinese????????????????????
I've reported it too!!
this is scary...Link to Ebay security..

Help Advisors - Can we get this into Reference Library if it isn't already? Thanks.
The pup I was babysitting ... he's my pup!
Picture here if you missed the post (http://www.teddy-talk.com/viewtopic.php?id=3132).
BOSCO was originally just a babysitting job. I'm sure I've said before that my sister works at a pet store <no puppy mill dogs ~ all local breeders>. Anyway this little guy wasn't eating quite enough to suit them, and they
asked us to take him for a few days and work with him. Four days later, my sister called and said "Hey can you bring the pup to the store; I have someone interested in him." So Dave and I head to the store with the puppy
and he's acting disappointed (hubby, not the pup) and I'm telling him there will be other doxies. We handed him over and my sister took him, then returned with his papers, handed him back to me and said "You're the new owner." Dave said "Merry Christmas Honey." And I've been wiping up pee and mopping the floor every
20 minutes since!
When I'm bored, I eat (too many) potato chips. Or chocolate.
Let's send them some junk food; that should cure the problem.

:)
Well OMG, you're the only one on THIS board! HA ... NOT!
Congratulations Danni! You have been SERIOUSLY busy!
I dont know how to do that... I want to do ebay templates but dont want to pay for them... LOL
Kim, I use www.villiagephotos.com which has limited free image hosting ... which is all you need for an auction at a time. Then, I read about and fooled around with html until I could get a simple auction on. Mine aren't fancy, but they are a)free and b)nicer than plain vanilla Ebay.
Some of us artists have been putting the following text in our auctions to help protect the teddy bear auction environment: "This bear is being offered directly from the artist if the seller ID is XXXX" Also... many bear aritsts do have an "About Me" page you can check out.
This is an excellent idea! Thanks!
I still think eBay is a GREAT place to adopt new bears!
Me too ... and JG rules!
That is totally AWESOME idea!
Thank you for sharing it with 13 days left until Christmas. I will do one for Mom next year ... or maybe her birthday!
"This is Sunday honey, that's awfully close to blasphemy!"
Peein' my pants!
Run your Ad-aware and/or Spybot daily too!
GOOD WORK SHERLOCK!
I just love this place. It's like having 45 sisters watching your back.
I reported it too ... before I logged on TT. I was looking for that address someone posted for reporting. I used the Ebay form, which was a little cumbersome I thought.
THANKS GUYS!
I seem to have a knack for finding the most difficult, fiddly way to do things!
Ohhhhh Kim ... trust me ... you don't have the corner on the market for that. Wouldn't it be fun to go head-to-head, a bunch of us sometime, and see who can absolutely come up with the most complicated way to get something done. I might not win, but could give ya a good run! I can complicate the crap out of things!
My greetings are in the mail ... at least I sent my son to the Post Office with them anyway! What fun to get them in the mail!
