Here in South Africa, we are well into spring with heatwave conditions and temperatures reaching 36 Deg C which is way too hot for this time of year plus we've hardly had any rain.

Thanks for all your nice comments.  I think the patchwork bear will take quite a while to make because of handsewing all the pieces together but it is fun to do.

The fruit drink powder mohairs smell nice and fruity but I have noticed the smell is getting less. Hugs 

I've been having great fun experimenting with different dyes on small pieces of Mohair.  I've used fruit drink powder, fabric dyes, tea and coffee and the results have been quite good.  I then washed all the pieces in my washing machine and I must say, I always thought Mohair was a delicate fabric but after what my Mohair has gone through, I've changed my mind and its really tough fabric.  All these small colourful pieces will not be wasted as I collect all my Mohair leftovers for a patchwork bear that I plan to make.  Hugs to everyone and enjoy your teddymaking.  Coraleen
