Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

I have quite a few Steiff bears and other animals that don't have moveable heads, so you never know it might be. I find that if the button in the ear isn't there, then a hole where it used to be usually is.

Love the colour, she is a pretty little thing

Most of my collection is smaller and old bears, which i have in a cabinet. The large ones are placed around the house in various locations. I have my first ever ted on a chest next to my bed. A couple are sat on my headboard, some on wardrobes, one is sat by the TV, 6 on the shelves behind my computer. I didn't really think about it before now, but everywhere i go in the house except the bathroom has a bear waiting for me!

I visited a collectors house once and she had two lines of bears going all the way up her stairs like little guards of honour hehe

wow weird, i got this pic through the post this morning from the blue cross. Above his paw was some slots to put money, which i of course filled lol

(blue cross is an animal charity for abandoned pets for anyone who doesnt know)

It looks like a baby gerbil, i was savaged by one once when i was little hehe. Still cute though.

If your phone has bluetooth, it may be easier to move the pics to your PC with that, then post. Thats what i do, i can never figure out how to post from my phone either hehe.

They are lovely, i like Phoebe the best, she has a nice look on her face and i like the mix of colours

Thank you My parents have been talking about getting a smaller dog next time as they are getting on a bit and found it really hard when Dieters back legs began to get weak when he was old.

Agility sounds like fun, when i was little my parents were members of the local dog training club and i have many happy memories of watching the dogs train, going to shows and watching them do agility. Always hilarious when the dog stopped in the tunnel and wouldnt come out and the owner had to go in after them!

Your dogs sound like an interesting mix, i bet they are really cute

My dog was a mixture, we never did know of what exactly because she was a rescue dog. When we picked her up she was skinny, filthy and very nervous, her tail used to burst open at the end and bleed if she bashed it on anything.
We nursed her back to health and she was then with us for another 14 years, i am so glad i met her.

This is my dog Sally, and below is my parents dog Dieter who passed away about 6 months ago, they grew up together and i like to think they are together now.

It is good that you are spending lots of time with your dogs, time goes so fast. My dog passed away a year ago age 16 and i miss her so much, i wish i had more time with her.

What lovely bears I was always traditional too and all the ones i collected were the usual browns, but once i started making my own it was like a whole new world of colour opened up. I found myself buying lavenders and greens, blue, yellow. I even have red with white frosting which is what i am making now. I get excited to see how they will look when they are done.

I will still make and buy traditional colours, but i think there is a place for the brighter bears too 

Thanks for all your replies, i think i need to look into a paypal card, and at some point in the future if i ever get round to doing fairs i will be looking into the paypal terminal thingy.

I need to get on that scheme instead of paying the accountant a wodge of cash every year!" - Thanks Jenny Yes i think any way of saving is a good idea even if its slightly frustrating and you have nightmares about being attacked by tax books (yes that actually happened lol)

I have signed up for the program, i think my main problem is money for items to start up with came from all over the place and they seem to want it all recorded in my bank which i can't do, mostly as i only started up my trading account recently. I am having a rather frustrating time making it all tally up!

Still as you say, waiting until year end seems to be a headache so i will do it monthly from now on i think. I just want to make bears anything else is a distraction hehe.
