Can you post a pic? Thanks Marion! I love your thinking!

I agree with Shantell ~ best thing to do is order samples. You really have to see and feel them to know what your ordering. (I can spend whole evenings going through my samples!)
Beyond that, I think that:
C = Curly
M = Matted
S = S Finish
H = Heirloom Finish
V = Vintage Finish
T = Tipped
TD = Tye-Dyed
The more you browse, the more it'll all connect. Again, welcome to TT.
Deb, I have to tell you that these paints hardly need heat setting. For one thing, if you ever submerge something like this in hot water you would need to worry about more than just the paint running. Second...youshould see the towel I used to test spray before airbrushing. It has more paint on it then my finsihed peice. I have put this towel through the washer and dryer and no paint came of that. So.....heat setting...not much neede really. :thumbsup:
Thank you all so mcuh for the great comments! :love:
Judi, were these were your favored Liquitex? I just used some Dye-Na-Flow that def needed heat setting.
Awesome ... gotta love Weird Al.
Ohhh ... thank you so much Vicky and Terrie for the useful ideas.
Vicky, I normally use 4 piece body also. Makes a fatter bear! Sometimes though, if I have a smaller piece of fur, i use a two piece body. They're okay too.
Thanks again guys. :hug:
Oooo ... love the tiara (or ty-ra-ra) as my niece calls them.
Be so cute with nuts and berries and such too.
I wouldn't recommend copying the exact ribbon ruffs she's done, per se, because that's so... copying. And I REALLY wouldn't recommend copying her big-beaded pendants, because she's kinda known for that, and it may bring you more grief than customers.
I wouldn't either ... that is her exact color combo/ribbon, etc., but I've seen lots of these type collars/neck embellishments lately. It's a pretty basic concept (multiple colors/ribbons used to make a bow/collar. About anything that can be done with a scruncci <sp?> (you know ... for ponytails and such) ... could inspire a good bear collar.
Two things:
1) Did I see somewhere (I searched but didn't find) a general recommendation on size discs to use?
2) I'm not liking where my arms ... well where my bear arms are ending up. They're too high on the side of the bear, making him/her look not relaxed. Any rules of thumb, like ... halfway between bear midpoint and top? Just looking for a general guide. I know I could sew up an awl hole and move them, but I'd really rather do it right the first time.
:hug:
Sounds like a good opportunity! Hope all goes well at the show.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your shepherd. They're such beautiful dogs.
:hug:
Hahaha! Thanks Denise; the gals at work are gonna love this!
I think you should only be allowed to eat chocolate between the hours of 12am and 12 pm but hey! that's just my opinion
(have i got that right? what i mean is you should be able to eat choccy 24 hrs a day)Penny
:love:
Well strike up the band for Penny! Chocolate 24/7/365 ... whooooohooooo!
Diane ~
No need for apologies. This is a pretty accepting group of gals here ... where the focus is pretty much teddy bears and some personal stuff (we share joys, frustrations, disappointments) ... that kind of stuff ... not hard core religion and politics and such that would be divisive.
We don't mind at all if you're a veggie ... so long as you don't mind that others may think that PETA stands for People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. See?
It's all good.
Daphne ~
While all these good ideas are rolling in, you're not down the road pulling a b&e are you?
Fran ~
Don't be scared of Ebay. Just be aware of the idiots out there sending spoof emails. For all the quirks, Ebay is really still a pretty cool thing.
:hug:
Shari ~

E-gads ... Quy is gonna have to hook us up with a Nerd Topics forum!
I bet anyone with the aptitude could learn enough in a one-day html class to be pretty dangerous. I fiddle around with it just enough to get my auctions (nothing fancy) onto Ebay.
Now .............. is that 200 chocolate COVERED frogs, or 200 chocolates shaped like frogs?
Punch ya? Naw! She'll give you a big hug! Very interesting.
Shantell, I think Kelly is saying that although it appears there is text on the site, it's not being recognized as text, but as part of the images. At least that's my interpretation. Now how she (Kelly) recognized this ... I have no clue. Maybe she can read html.
With all this talk of cake baking ... and the holidays approaching ... I thought I'd share an email I received!
How come when you mix water and flour together you get glue ...
And then you add eggs and sugar ... and you get cake?Where did the glue go?
You know darned well where it went!
That's what makes the cake stick to your butt!
Happy baking!
Soon as I find it, I'll post it!
:hug:
oooooooooooooooooooo .. yum.
They made me just think ... I have a recipe for cheesecake cupcakes I haven't made in a LONG time.
I know, why don't ya remove those glasses and that mustache from your piccie (am I close?) and post it back to the user photo gallery.
Play solitaire.
Shop Intercal.
Put in a Walt Disney movie (I like Polyanna and The Great Mouse Detective).
Call the servants all in for a tea party.
Make list of chores to do some other day.
Read.
Eat.
Sleep.
Gosh Pen ... I'm plum out of ideas now.
P.S. I've cut my hair before. Cool thing about hair is ... it grows. I'm not sure I'd use a BOWL though. If you decide to cut your hair ... think TRIM and tiny amounts ... so that the trained professionals have something to work with when you have to turn to them for help in a couple weeks!
Deb, Shelli's directions are on here somewhere...I have been using her method and it works great. The only thing I do that might be a bit different and I did it purely on accident...I cut the cording a slight angle rather than straight across...seems to feed into the awl holes easier for me...and I put the superglue in the awl hole instead of on the cording when I insert it...I made less of a mess with the glue...other than that...Shelli's method is awesome.
Now toss that stupid needle and grab the awl...
See Diane! :lol:
Thanks Shanny.
