Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

I am very happy to offer for adoption this little kitten called Monique, she is made in iris blue and silver white recycled mink furs. She stands just 5 inches tall and is made in a seated position, with the addition of armature in her front legs and tail she is able to be posed in many realistic ways. Her eyes are hand coloured  bright violet with sparking reflections and her face has been extensively hand scissor sculpted to reveal her round cheeks and little chin. Her companion mouse is made from wool felt, onxy bead eyes and a corded tail.

The magazine has just undergone some changes and I believe it will be put out 4 times a year now. They have also introduced a new magazine called ..I think.. Bears and Collections, not sure how often the mag will be out. Unfortunately the official wesite has not been updated for many years.
I have liked the changes to the magazine, there are heaps more photos and some new editorials.

Recently I purchased some ermine fur and have been experimenting with it. I am happy to show my latest little bear called Tutti Fruitti. He stands just 3 inches tall and is rainbow of colours, his face has been extensively hand scissor sculpted to reveal his puffy cheeks and little chin. I have hand sculpted his tiny nose from polymer clay and given him an organza neck ruffle. It is very challenging to work in fur on this small scale but I am glad that I didn't give up otherwise the "Gelato Bears" would not have been born. Tutti fruitti is available for adoption at eBay.

Just in time to help celebrate the Christmas Season I have a new bear called Nicholas available for adoption on eBay. Nicholas  is made in light and dark brown recycled mink fur and stands 5 1/2 inches high.  His face has been extensively hand scissor sculpted to reveal his puffy cheeks and little chin. It is so terrible for all the people who have watched when Hope was born to see her short life come to an end in this way. I know that many people hunt animals because they need too do so to survive and feed themselves, but I just can't get my head around hunting for sport. It is a sad time for so may followers of the bears.
