Congratulations to all of the winners....beautiful bears.
Didn't enter this year as I had too many work commitments but must find the time next year
I am attending Hugglets in September and am really working hard at the moment to get enough bears for the show.I have 5 finished and 9 in various stages of completion. It is a struggle for me to even have that many for a show as no matter how hard I try and with all good intentions life always gets in the way and before I know it I am trying to finish so many bears in a very short space of time.
I am taking two 15 inch traditional bears and the rest are under 6 inches but I feel that around 15 bears is enough.I wish sometimes I made bigger bears and then I could be happy with a table of 6 or 7 bears as that lesser number makes you feel less pressurised even if they take longer to finish .I would love to do a show and be finished with plenty of time to spare but it never happens lol!
I thought I would start a new topic as for the last few months I haven't sewn a single bear.I find that during the summer months I just can't seem to get in the bear making mood. With the long light evenings and summer weather I find that being an out door kinda person I can't sit myself down to do bears when I could be out on my bike or walking the dogs etc.I find it so much easier in the winter when it is dark earlier and cold outside to make my bears. It makes me wonder whether I am losing my interest in my bear making or it is just a seasonal thing and when autumn returns this will all be forgotten when my work table is covered in bear bits lol !
Am I the only one who finds this?
The question for collectors is do you find you buy more bears in the winter months when it is cold and dark outside and or do you look all year round and buy a bear whenever you see something that you like?
