Ha Ha, I do the same. little zip lock bags then all inside a box. I put a lable in the little ziplock bag with the name of the pattern, which usually happens to be the name of the bear that was first made with it. Even so, I know what you mean about having to search through them all. The display folder sounds like a good idea. Is it one of those with pockets for trading cards? That might work a bit better, at least you can see them in a few glances.I need to be more organised, I have my bearmaking stuff all over the place in several different areas of the house. Isn't it frustrating when you know you have a certain trimming or certain sized joints, and you can't find them!
Good discusion topic, may be I will get some ideas to sort me out a bit too.

I am sure Chrissi is right, I knew I recognised the line, I just couldn't quite place it, of course I remembered as soon as she gave the answer lol
Tiny Hugs,

I think I know what it is Chloe, but I have had a go, so I will let somebody else get it this time. I like that film too, both rather dishy leading actors but particularly for one of them may be not so much in this film! Can you tell if I have guessed it right?
yehhh, thats it Chloe.
Right you're it now.
Tiny Hugs,
Gail
Right....umm this one is actually my eldest daughters all time favourite quote from a film which was actually made the year she was born!
" Your ego's writing checks your body can't cash"
Tiny Hugs,
Gail
Ps I had to remember to spell cheque the american way LOL
OOOH can I play please,
thats Pirates of the Carabbean at worlds end isn't it Debbie. I loved that film.
Tiny Hugs,
Gail
Ha Ha Bobbie, I wondered what you meant about Ruths photo (I am her sister) then I realised she was hiding it under her avatar photo LOL and I can tell you that that photo is probably 35+ years old , and I can say that cos I am her older sister. Actually you probably would recognise her, her face has not changed that much, but I think she has stopped wearing hair slides now!

PS Love you Ruthie
Hi Ali (and Chrissie,)
don't throw the head away yet. LOL. when you got your pens, did you also buy a colorless blender pen? I would not be without mine. You can use it to take off the pigment if you have got a bit heavy handed and put a bit too much on, or it's not quite in the right place. It wont erase absolutely all of it but it will help you a lot while you are experimenting in where to put your shading.
Hope this helps you(and saves a little bear's head)
I like the name Sage, it is unusual and I don't think I have heard it as a girls name here before. My daughters are Rebecca Marie (marie is my mothers name) and Nathalie Josephine (Josephine is my MIL)Rebecca is usually called Becky or Bex for short and Nathalie (silent H , its just the French way of spelling it, and loads of people miss it out) is known as Natty or Nat for short, I also like the girls names Freya, Lily and Fern. Thats odd they are all a bit flowery but my daughters names aren't....strange. They never had the mickey taken out of their first names, but our surname is Parsons so they used to get "Parsons Nose" or "Parsnip"
One of my Father's tricks is to turn everybodys names backwards, that sometimes comes out really weird. I am Liag Snosrap ( a very odd surname LOL) so I have Acceber and the unpronouncable Eilahtan ! LOL
I sometimes weight them, but not always. When I do, with my larger minis, I make a tiny bag from,of all things, tubular finger bandage!. I cut a bit off and sew accross on end and then fill with the steel shot and then sew over the top. It gives the weight but keeps all the little bits more contained in a little package then I just stuff as normal around the little bag.
Tami, I can't wait to see your clown all finished,he looks amazing even when it bits so I know he will be stunning!
Jimams is beautiful Paula! Those colours work really nicely together(and I like the daisy buttons too)
well done Tami
Come on Ruth! you have a go as well, you have until September, that should give you plenty of time, If you join in maybe the Christmas fairy will bring you a little clown too hows that for a promise
PS everybody says I walk fast too, but I say its just that my legs are shorter, I am only 5' tall and I have to take more steps to cover the same distance!
Ah, now I see Victoria (just went to your website and had a look...lovely by the way)
I think that is so nice when you can share your love of bears together. When I show my husband my latest creation, he usually says "thats nice" but not much more than that before going back to his computer
He is however very good at advising me how I can improve my web pages and photography, both of which he knows exactly what he is talking about.
Good luck Tami
I hope you get it, it sounds like a lovely opportunity,a job you really want and time for bears as well!
Rufus TatterMoon's name really suits him  . Gosh I thought I was fast at sewing, but you must be even faster as he looks to be quite a tall chap I admire those who make larger bears, I am not sure that I can make much bigger bears than about 5" I just cant wait that long to see how they turn out! Having said that the weeny ones are quite fiddley at times and sometimes take longer than I thought they would.
Here is my clown for today  I named him Smidge as he is a smidge over and inch and a half tall without his hat. He is one of the teenyest bears I have made for a long time. I had to make him this size as I have run out of 6mm cotter pins and disks and only had 4mm wobble joints left! so just after breakfast I sat with my pen and paper to design him. I think I will be making a few more bears this size
That was really interesting, I saw most of the picture ones, but when it came to the F's I could only see 4, I completely missed the first to "of"s even though I was looking carefully as I know it would be a "trick" question!
It shows that most of the time we look at things but don't really see them.
Ha Ha, Lisa,
I have 6 years worth of fabric collected, all sorts from all over the place, loads of 9"x9" squares or whats left of them. At least thats the good thing about making minis, you don't have to have yards and yards of fabric in your stash(although if you put all my squares together............)
I don't really make them fast ,it's just when I decide what I am doing, it takes about a day to a day and a half to complete, almost sewing to the exclusion of anything else, I even forgot to stop for lunch yesterday!!When I looked at the clock it said 3.00pm!
I am a bit like that when reading books as well, can't put them down once started, I am a great Terry Pratchett fan (loads of inspiration in his books for bears to make) and my family know that if they buy me one of his books for Christmas, it will probably be finished by the day after Boxing Day
Here is clown number two
He behaved much better whilest having his photo taken.
I am not usually quite so prolific and I have even done a small amout of housework today(though not enough really ).I will have to slow down a bit or I will get accused of hogging the thread  .
How is everybody else getting on?
Ha Ha
with great dificulty Tami, He kept doing suicidal leaps, just as I was about to press the button to take the photo(I have got one photo of a chair and a heap of tiny clown next to it!)
Thank you Lisa, Paula and Gladys,
I finished him late yesterday evening. Not a lot of housework got done yesterday, but I have got all this week off work, so I have plenty of time to catch up on that(if I happen to feel like it )
The little umberella was a bit of an engineering problem, but I think it was worth it in the end, it kind of suits himand it was a way to use that lovely print
Whoops photo didn't work first time, I will try again
