The Man Rules

At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down

Finally , the guys' side of the story.

We always hear " the rules "
From the female side.

Now here are the rules from the male side.

These are our rules!
Please note.. these are all numbered "1 "
ON PURPOSE!

1.   Men are NOT mind readers.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat.
You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down.
We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides.
Let it be.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want.
Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the   other one

1. You can either ask us to do something
Or tell us how you want it done.
Not both.
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials..

1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not A color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched.
We do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, Expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really .

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as  sex and sport

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape.  Round IS a shape!

1. Thank you for reading this.
Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;

But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

Pass this to as many men as you can -
to give them a laugh.

Pass this to as many women as you can -

to give them a bigger laugh.

OMG, I remember designing a poster in primary school back in the late 70's to Save Our Seals

I was so upset, I think it was the first time I question what kind of a world we live in and to find that 30+ years later this is still happening bear_cry

It is disgusting bear_angry

FenBeary Folk

Oh Karon, move to Lincolnshire and I would be in, hope you get some replies. Have you thougt of looking in the Hugglets guide and e-mailing any in your area, just a thought bear_wub

"Only ahis mother could love him"........................you wicked woman bear_whistle

He looks very very vintage and very sweet, I know its very different to your bears but LOVE him he is worthy of it

FenBeary Folk

Oh Paula, what stunning photos, ouch on the price though, but it does look the bees knees bear_grin

MJ, you must have a lovely hubby bear_wub

Chloe, my home town girl, just so you know poorness can happen when you are older, thanks for the offer of help  I searched on here and had a bit of a short list, so had a look for prices and that is when I found this site, I found it invaluable, the best bits were the photos on it cos until you see them, you can't really tell if you are buying the right one, or paying to much when you can get a cheaper one

Laura I went with a Canon, it was a toss up between the A720 IS and the A570 IS, in the end there was not much to choose so went for the A570IS and with the change got a bigger memory card and a TRIPOD, can't wait to play with that. It is being delivered tomorrow. Thank you Amazon, Canon also have an offer on to claim cash back til 31st March as well, so should be able to get £30 back, can't be bad.

Just thought the camera review website was worth listing on here for anyone for future reference bear_thumb

FenBeary Folk

Hi everyone, I am in the process of buying a new camera and have found a really neat website, it explains everything in easy terms, reviews individual cameras, rates them and even has a section for puting in what you want and it will recommend several cameras for you to look at, every review has the camera specs, test shots -which spoke volumes to me as you could actually see the same shots with different cameras, and a range of conditions, indoors, poor light etc. It also gives it a rating for each feature out of 10, so it easy to compare macro features

FenBeary Folk

Tami, thank you I am partial to the pink as well bear_wub

Chloe, yes its Grantham college, they are great, they are coming up with a program that should help her, she has always had a problem getting things from her head to paper and the college has only confirmed my suspicions, I am really angry with the school, but what ifs don't help so we won't dwell on that bear_wub

Hi Lisa, my little ditty I made it up myself bear_grin ..................when life gets you down, pick yourself up and stand taller.

I really mean that, my life has had many lows and sometimes not too many highs, but Nottingham was a goodie, nobody was nasty and people did like them, was a bit worried about admitting that I had not sold cos I did not want people to think that they weren't nice, it really was a no buying day for most there, but like you say next time and every cloud has a silver, mine has 2

1 I have or will have bears for sale on my website
2 Also, Hubby has said I can have a new camera, the pics were so bad on the old one that he agreed that I was doing myself an injustice by using it, it was only a basic one bear_grin

Always look for the good cos every bad has a good, thats what I told my daughter just this afternoon on the way home, she got diagnosed with dyslexia last week at nearly 17, the school failed to see it even though she had tests at 13, the reason the college spotted it was because she has had to re take english this year as she did not do so well in her GCSE english last June and could not do A Levels this year. She was devestated but I told her that she failed to get the grade for english for a reason and this is it, She has always felt she was thick, even though we knew she was quite clever, now she realises that it was not her but this dyslexia and she will be able to learn how to get around it, which will help her the rest of her life. Also the college told her, her IQ was quite high bear_wub

Sorry for the ramblings but as usual I am cooking tea, listening to hubby moan, oh I forgot new camera, yes I do love him today bear_grin

bear_wub  bear_wub Have faith and take the plunge, deep breath and one step at a time

Ok confession time I sold none, but out of the 6 of us in the room, only 1 stall sold a couple of bears and they were to collectors that had come to buy from them bear_cry

When I went to the top room the story was the same, most had not sold and I am informed that it takes several visits to bag a few collectors.

To be really honest everyone loved the bears, I am quite an intuitive person and did realise it was not me or my bears that were the problem. It really was a pause, pick up and put down day. Alot of people took business cards and postcards, and I had to replenish those frequently during the day. I am going to try and take some decent piccis for my website and will be listing on Bid4bears as promised bear_grin

As for attending in August it did not put me off, they tend to be regulars that are accomodated first I think but if there is enough, like just now, they do open a second room. I think that attending fairs is something that I will love and am scouring the internet for another local one to go to before August, Bears are all packed and ready to go, have bear will travel so to speak.

It was so lovely to meet both Vicki and Lisa, I am so glad your son like Corylus (an evvergreen shrub) -the green one, 14mm mint alpaca from Christie bears tell him bear_grin

Hi Kay, not sure about the business name but I purchased my domain as soon as possible.

Tips, the pound against the dollar is very good so I found it cheaper to buy in dollars. Also something that has just come to light the last few days, my boss has just purchased another domain, long story, someone else holds the .co.uk version. This was purchased from a domain site other than freewebs and when I told her about freewebs, she wanted me to set it up and attatch the domain name, upon investigation it is going to cost the company a monthly fee with freewebs, as the domain was not purchased via freewebs. I tried the site that the domain was purchased from and found that they charged a monthly fee even if the domain was purchased from them. Moral of the tale, it may have saved my boss a few pennies by going with a this other site but now it's going to cost to maintain the website.

I am not sure if there are other pitfalls, I also purchased freewebs traffic blazer (listing on website directory tool), was not sure how useful this would be, but now at work we are facing having to trawl though losts of websites, ie google, aol, etc to submit to each individual site, were as freewebs traffic blazer I just filled in 1 master form and hit the button to submit to all and there are lots that I had not heard off.

Hope this helps, Sue

Ann, wanted to post the other day but I have been so busy bear_flower

To be really honest, it never even occured to me, strange to think of that association

At the end of the day if you are uncomfortable then I would alter it in some way that maybe is a longer version, I have just noticed your web address.............almalone...........so AlmaLone Bears. AL Malone Bears, or almalone bears, if people know your website they will be familira with the name bear_grin

FenBeary Folk

Oh Mo, I was struck by the same thing, we do live in a throw away society, our tv went last year just out of warrenty, only 2 years old, an excuse for a new very large flat one (with insurance cover??!!)

Go break something small to get your third thing bear_grin
Hope you have a better day

FenBeary Folk

Oh that did give me a chukkle, cats are such characters bear_wub

FenBeary Folk

Wow what a stunning dog, apart from the white paws she looks very like our dog Dixie

Great photo, I love all your piccies and its the first thing I look for every day
