Wow! SueAnn and Matilda, your bears are awesome as well!!!!! 38 1/2, Matilda!!!! that is huge, the one that I am working on is about 25" and I thought that he was big!
........I wish that I could con my Mother or anyone else into stuffing him for me.
Thanks again, Susan for all that you have done!
I have contacted my partner, Anne, and I can't wait to hear from her!
Sabine, your little crochet bear is adorable!
Dilu, I just love all of your little bears, they each have their own personality and job
by the looks of it. Please post a picture of your tree when you get it decorated.
Wow Paula, they are gorgeous!!
I am working on a bear right now that is right around 25". I am making him for me! He is going to sit in a chair that is desperately calling for a bear. Since I usually make much smaller guys, I am going to have to buy some eyes for him and I was wondering what size of eyes you use?
He is adorable Amanda, I hope that his auction does really well. The fabric does look really nice, it's too bad that it was hard to work with.
Paula, he is gorgeous!!!!!!!!.....again......
I just love your bears!
Hi Marie! I am glad that you noticed my post. I was going to send a message to you mailbox just in case you missed it.
They are so cute!!!!
She is gorgeous, Fran! What a thoughtful idea, I am sure that the sick lady will love it. Did you make this dress the same style as the original wedding dress?
Judi,
I am so sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time! I grew up on a farm and losing any of your animals, especially because of an accident like this, is devestating.
I was wondering what happened to your auction!
Marie, you need to contact Nancy and let her know that you need someone to list for you. She is going to make those arrangements for us.
He is adorable!! He looks so happy!
She is adorable, I love her little feet!
Boy! How dumb does that make me feel!!!!!
Little Star is sooo sweet! Her name suits her perfectly!
She is wonderful and the photos of her and her pet friends are very cute!
Dilu, she is so cute! What a happy little face!
I use Mountain Mist and steel shot as well. I have never heard of the heavy polyfil before, I am going to check it out.
Happy Anniversary SueAnn!!!!! and Congratulations!! It sounds like you had a wonderful day! I bought Photoshop Elements 4 just yesterday, it looks like a great program but I haven't figured out how to do anything yet!
Good idea, Laura Lynn, I think that I will check out some of the How to books and find one that is easy to understand.
Catherine, it sure isn't her fault.....she is just as cute as she can be! I think that nearly everyone in the world just has things on their mind other than buying bears right now.......like hurricanes, earthquakes, and floods.
Kim, your sculpting idea is wonderful! It makes me think.....now why didn't I think of that! I can't seem to think in 2D either, so I have a lot of bear pieces that hit the garbage.
Melissa, please be sure to post your bunny when he is done.
I sew them into the seam as I am making the bear. I have tried to sew them on after but by the time you get the raw edge turned under, the tag looks a little too bulky.
I was using a small piece of ultra suede before with my initials until someone from this group (I can't remember who) mentioned this printable fabric. I decided to try it and I love it!
Happy Anniversary, Kim! Your little bear is adorable, I love the bright colors that you use.
I lose a lot of eyes, also, trying to crimp them, there is such fine line between narrow enough to use and oops!
Thanks Kim, it is nice to hear that you like my little "fuzzball", I love to make the tiny ones but I have been disheartened with them lately because about the last 4 haven't sold at all. It's a good thing that they don't take up much room on the shelf!
Dilu, making minis while you wait for dial up is an awesome idea!! :)
Heather, that sounds like a great course to take. When I get some time there are several that I would love to take. The top of my list right now is Judi's needlefelting course.
Anne, please don't forget to post your pictures of the wedding pair !!
Shantell, buying stuff for bears is addicting!! Whenever I feel a little down, I head to the fabric store (or ebay) and to look at all of the "stuff" that I have, you would think that I was a very depressed person!!
.....which I am not.
Helena, I have started using the same thing and I am really pleased with it. This little bears is under 3" and I think that her tag looks ok. All I can put on it is Terries Bears but that's alright.
Kim, your mini is absolutely adorable! I have been working on larger bears ( 6") lately, but I have been working on one little mini by the name of Sunshine. She is 2 7/8" when standing.
Chrissie, it is good to hear from you! We have CNN on right now and I was thinking about you and your neighbors. It looks just awful there!!!! I am so glad to hear that you are ok, take care and I hope things will return to normal before too long.
It really is nice to see everyone!!!
It's not just you, Shantell, I can see more than you but I am only getting half of Clare's face.
All of these pictures just show that bear people come in all shapes, sizes and ages! Now when I see people on the street, I will be thinking.....that could be a bear person
I am wondering, though, where are all of the male bear makers?? It was when I saw Ted Menton's bears that I knew I just had to try and make one of my own and The Bear Guys from Canada are right at the top of my favorites list, so I know that there must be more of them out there.
