Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Kameko is a 12" white wool and chocolate Alpaca OOAK baby panda with clear glass eyes, needle felted and sculpted nose and face, brown velvet upholstery material eyelids, white wool paw pads with hand painted chocolate trapunto toes and pads, wire armature in both arms, 5 joints, metal pellets added for weight, multicolored fiber scarf around her neck, airbrushed and hand painted features. Kameko is a wobbly panda who comes with a authentic certificate, signed YoYo Bear label sewn into the left leg and either a all gold or  white and gold cloisonne YoYo Bear button inserted into the left ear not shown.

Thank you pink for liking Arri. As soon as I put Arri on Bearpile he was adopted. 

Arri is a 15" brown and light grey OOAK artist teddy bear. He has 5 joints, high quality two-tone green glass eyes, grey needle felted face that has been airbrushed and hand painted, brown needle felted and airbrushed nose, two-tone needle
felted eyelids, wire armature in both arms, needle felted paw pads that have been airbrushed and hand painted, inner ears are airbrushed and hand painted. Arri is wearing a multi-colored wool scarf around his neck. All of my bears are designed and created solely by me. Each bear comes with an authentic signed certificate, YoYo Bear label sewn into the left leg, and a beautiful gold and white enamel cloisonne YoYo Bear button that I place in the left.

Your bears are just toooo cute.

Bambee is a 9 1/2" soft brown varigated OOAk mohair bear with 5 joints, wire armature, two-tone glass eyes, glass nose, needle felted mouth, hand painted features, gold antique bell on a black leather cord around his neck, he is holding a purple glitter butterfly, he can sit or stand, metal BB's in the legs for weight.

Hello Becky, how are you? I love airbrushing and hand painting. Rosario has black leather paw pads but because of the coloring on his face the paws do look brown in the picture. I think that I am going to do a series of jester teddy bears. What do you think?

Rosario is a 6"  OOAK straight mohair tan in color jester teddy bear with German glass eyes, sculpted and waxed nose, leather paw pads, the feet are trapunto, features are airbrushed and hand painted, wire armature in both arms, metal pellets for weight, handmade antique collar and matching hat with 4 gold bells attached, 2 gold and black antique velvet buttons on the front of his body, 4 multi-colored pom poms on his ring and a gold and silver pom pom on his feet, blue, red, and gold stars under his right eye.

Thank you Thelma. I had so much fun making him. I think I laughed the whole time. After I finish my tea I am headed back into the studio to create a small jester teddy bear.

Raviv is a 8 1/2" wool OOAK teddy bear with wire armature, two-tone amber German glass eyes, tan textured upholstery fabric muzzle, paw pads and eyelids, sculpted and waxed nose, handmade blanket and night cap with antique bell, teddy bear slippers with needle felted nose and ears, airbrushed and hand painted features, tiny tan bunny with a pink ribbon and hand painted body, metal pellets inside the body for a weighted feel. Raviv is looking for a great family to adopt him.

Thank you for the nice comment. Lucious was fun to make. He is very soft and his belly is squishy. I designed his pattern in May before I had neck surgery. It took me up until now to get him finished.

Lucious is a 17" tan long mohair and golden brown Alpaca Lion. He has clay sculpted teeth, nose and claws, smokey green German glass eyes, open mouth, terry cloth and mohair trapunto paw pads, wire armature, lockline in the neck, needle felted face, Alpaca eyelids,dark brown mohair tail with tan long mohair at the end of his tail, tan mane, chocolate cupcake with whip cream and sprinkles, airbrushed and hand painted features. Lucious can stand or sit down.

I saw Ted last week with my daughter who is now grown. It is not a movie for children. The part that I liked was when they were trying to put ted back together. I found myself telling me daughter that they needed to do a ladder stitch to put him back together.  My daughter looked at me and laughed. Her comment was mom, how could anyone not know that you are a teddy bear artist. I just smiled.

I agree with you  Because I am recovering from neck surgery and I am not able to lift anything heavy or do anything I have to depend on my husband. My husband is like your husband so I have to give him instructions so I do not end up with blue clothing. 

Vito is a 16" short dense brown mohair bear. His inner ears, muzzle and paws are yellow velvet upholstery material. his handmade jumpsuit and hat are white jean material with his name embroidered on the front and the Bear Painting Company embroidered on the back. He also has small white painting gloves in the left back pocket of his jumpsuit. Vito is carrying a real paint brush and paint can. He also has a wooden ladder. There are antique buttons on the front of his jumpsuit. Vito has wire armature in both arms. His features are hand painted and airbrushed.

Ming Ming is a 13 1/2" Alpace and mohair panda. The mohair is hand dyed, needle felted face, varigated needle felted eyes,.wire armature in both arms, wire ribbone with an antique pansey around her neck, leather paw pads, and a handmade antique silk pansey in her hands.

Little Freddy is a 9" multi-colored mohai bear. He has cinnamon wool felt trapunto paws, upper chest and muzzle, wire armature in both arms, beautiful butterfly on his left paw. He is also wearing a red velvet bowtie with and antique button. His features are hand sculpted and airbrushed.

Jade is a 13" brown tipped mohair bear. She has wire armature, sculpted and needle felted wool face, clay sculpted nose, smokey gree eyes, eyelids, grey velvet trapunto paw pads,  blue and white lace ribbon around her neck, all of the features are hand painted. Jade is also carrying here stuffed giraffe Baby.

Coty is a a 16" white mohair bunny rabbit with grey undertones. He has a hand sculpted clay carrot, clay sculpted teeth, orange velveteen bowtie with a gold andtique key attached. His features are hand painted and hand sculpted. His inner ears and paws are black and grey checkered velvet upholstery material.

Kai is a 22" black and white mohair and Alpaca panda bear. His features are hand painted and airbrushed. His teeth, nose and claws are hand sculpted from clay. The eyes and muzzle are needle felted. Kai has trapunto paw pads and a floppy body. He is also wearing a green chain around his neck with a cloisonne chime bell that has a panda bear painted on the front.

Casper is a 15" standing varigated mohair bear. He has wire armature in his arms. His features are airbrushe and hand painted. There is a grocery list attached to his left paw. Casper also has a real shopping cart filled with groceries. There is an antique chain and bell around his neck.

Buttercup is a 6" Peach mohair bear. She has green glass eyes, eyelids, wire armature, clay sculpted nose, red wire ribbon around her neck, velvet textured upholstery material paws, inner ears and muzzle. Buttercup is also hand painted.

Brown Sugar is a 6" white and brown tipped mohair baby panda. Her face is needle felted mohair and wool. She has wire armature in both arms, eyelids, smoky eyes, cernit sculpted and airbrushed nose, trapunto sculpted paw pads, airbrushed and hand painted features. Brown Sugar is also wearing a blue and pink heart on a pink metal chain around her neck.

Binky is a 7” brown and white mohair panda. She is wearing a teddy bear head band and apron. She comes with a metal laundry basket filled with her laundry. Binky has needle felted eyes and hand painted features.

Alfie is a 18" standing, 10” seated grey Alpaca mohair bear. His ears, muzzle and paws are tan textured velvet upholstery material. His features are hand painted and airbrushed. He is wearing a white leather vest with 2 black pockets that have a black and white paw button in the middle. Alfie also comes with a Jane Hissey Old Bear book not featured.

Bambee is a 9” brown and tan variegated mohair bear. She has a white mohair chest, blue baby blanket, and a tiny brown teddy bear. Bambee has ultra-suede and plush trapunto paws. There is wire armature in both arms.
