This is my latest bear! His name is Patrick and he's just two inches tall! I have him listed on etsy here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/77158950/pa … teddy-bear
Thanks!
Another of my newest bears! This one is named Blueberry Ice and he's two inches tall. I used frosted sassy long pile for him; it's definitely one of my favorite fabrics
You can visit him on etsy here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/76662872/bl … ture-teddy
Well, I'm going to try to get myself back into the bear world again. I've been away from here for quite awhile, but I'm hoping to get back into following teddy-talk again
For now, here's one of my newest bears! His name is Alec, and he's all of one-inch tall! He's fully jointed and made of ultrasuede. I have him listed on etsy here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/76662247/al … teddy-bear I'm new to etsy, and I'm working on remembering how to use teddy-talk, but I'm excited to get back into this! I'm hoping that I'll actually have some time to keep up with bears now that I'm out of school.
Thanks
Wow, there are so many amazing creations here! I wish I had time to check them all out! Anyway, here are my latest. I was inspired to make a dragon after reading the article about Gordon and Peggy Hayes' dragons in the Winter 2009 Teddy Bear & Friends. I haven't made something this big in a long time. I actually wound up making two dragons. Maybe I'll make another one, since I'd like to make a super tiny one. The red one is named Oscar, and the grey one is named Felimath. There are more pictures, and a little bit more about how I made them, on my blog. I actually made them from the inside out. I made the armature, then felted the body around that, then sewed the skin on over that.
Wow! Those are spectacular!
Wow, thanks everyone!!!
I finally updated my website and got some new animals up! I've been getting into needel-felting, so they're mostly felties right now, but I'm working on some teddies. Here's my moose, whom I haven't come up with a good name for yet
The base he's standing on is about 3 x 4 inches, and he's about 3 inches tall. His skinny little legs have wires in them for some support.
Thanks!
Thank you both! It's good to be back Things are going well, school's been keeping me really busy. I'm in my university's athletic training program, so I'm going to school full-time, and whenever I'm not in class or studying, I'm out at my clinical site. I haven't had much, if any, free time in a while, so this summer should be nice
Here's another little one on ebay! Little Susy is only 2 1/8 inches tall! You can visit her here http://cgi.ebay.com/Susy-OOAK-miniature … tsupported
thanks!
Hi everyone! I haven't been around for a looooong time, but I finally have some free time again
I've learned how to needlefelt since I was last here, so I have some new felties! Here's one of my new creations, Cammie. She's 2 7/8 inches tall. I've just listed her on ebay, please go visit her!

Yay! Congratulations Ruth!!
Wow, what a good idea. I'll have to actually sit down and do this sometime. I might actually find out how long it takes me to make a bear! People always ask me and I have to say, "Uhhh...I don't know..." and make something up.
It would be nice to have a studio. Right now, I have a bedroom with all of my stuff stored under my bed! Thank goodness I make minis!
I've thought a lot about what I would like. I'd like a nice, big room with drawers all on one side. They'd hold thread, fabrics, fillings, eyes, accessories, and would keep my Legos organized (yes, that's right, Legos). I'd also have to have a storage cabinet for big pieces of fabric and batting, so I could make quilts too. I'd need a sewing table for my machine and current projects, then I'd need a Lego table for building models on. I'd also need a place to display models. I'd need an ironing board, and an area to work with clay and other crafty things. Then, in my living room, I'd need a comfy chair, TV, and DVD player for hand-sewing, plus a table with drawers next to the chair, so I could stash whatever I'm working on in there. Of course, I would need lots of big windows, and an area for taking pictures. I'd love a great view of the woods, or maybe of a lake or river, with a dock and a canoe. I'd also have a well-trained dog and cat. On the walls, I'd have quilts and cool pictures or posters. Oh, I'd also have an Ott-Lite in there somewhere.
I'm sure I could come up with more cool stuff to do with my dream studio, but it's time for me to stop dreaming and go to class.
I have some ultrasuede I got at Field's Fabrics. You can get it online here http://www.fieldsfabrics.com/ultra/printlist.htm
I made a pony with it, here's what it looked like.
If I had more I'd send you some.
Yay! I finally got mine! Just in time!
His name is Beary St. Nick, and he's from Gijzette Strickland of Elfin Bears. I love him! Thank you! He came in a really cute box with a set of small cards
Katrina: I love your tree.... I'm always looking for the perfectly shaped tree but when I saw yours I thought "Now there is a tree with personality!" and I think it's great!
Thanks! That's what I love about our trees
[b]Katrina: What a lovely "real" tree, I bet it's fragrance fills the house, just like Charlotte's Juniper. Looks like you have real glass ornaments there too. They were pretty hard to get your hands on for a number of years, but I have noticed them back in the shops again this season.
Thanks It does smell great. We have lots of real glass ornaments. Most of them are antiques, but some are ones we've found from Poland. I love the delicate, glass ones. My mom gives my brother and I each a new ornament every year, and I've got quite a variety.
Well, we finally got our tree up! It's one from our front yard/field. I think it's one that my dad planted years ago. It's a big one, we got almost all of our ornaments on it this year! We've got a nice combination of antique and modern ornaments on it
Yay Gijzette, I'm glad you like Snowdrop! I'm glad he finally got there! Haha, thanks for sharing the poem
I had fun.
I'll post a picture, but I didn't take any on a solid background. So, here's Snowdrop. His snowflake has real glass glitter on it.
Thanks Ruth and Sandi!
