Great! I am so happy for you! I hope everything will be find with your pregnancy...
But don't be too active and take time to rest when your are too tired! I know it's not easy to stop everything and to rest (my own cousin was unable to rest and had problems so she has now to be very careful because she is 6 months pregnant).

I am jealous of all these people around me who are pregnant. My sweatheart and myself cannot afford a baby because we have a too low income and none of us has a permanent job... Still have to wait!!!

Oh, another think about these riots. On the TV news, we saw a young man from one "cité" who was interview. He was asked why he was doing these stupid violent acts and said that this was because he was against France!!!  bear_wacko but this young man WAS FRENCH!!!!!!  bear_angry So as my boyfriend explained to me (he has spent one year in a "cité") in these places people give themselves a partiular identity that is not theirs and consequently have abberant behaviour. In these places there are many people who come from foreign countries but with French nationality. They never managed to get integrated to France. In these places, there are some French people coming from French famillies but with very low income, and getting crazy because of their neighbours's silly behaviour...  bear_wacko

Sophie.

I am safe so far... Thanks for worrying!  :)
In Le Mans, there have not been too many troubles so far. I think it is not too dangerous in my street. But really these people firing cars, schools, etc have forgotten how to use their brain! and our gouverning people have been far too long to react! They waited for policemen to be injured and people killed to decide to ask the help from army and other things.
Really, I am not proud of our gouverning people. They only care about themselves.
Nowadays in France, everything is sinking. No jobs, no authority, problems in education, huge increases of petrol, gas, fioul and elctricity... All they found to do to make people think there are less people searching job is to fire them from our ANPE (National Agency for employment, equivalent of Job Center Plus in UK) earlier... You see the picture: less people registered at ANPE, so "less people searching jobs"! How silly! Last "brilliant idea" of our gouvernment is to limit the number of months during which people without employment will receive financial help.
To sum up, unemployed people can die, gouvernment doesn't care!
What's next to come... I prefer not to know!  :|

I am both a collector and bear artist. i am totally addicted to Merrythought cheeky bears because of their so smily face! Even if I guess these adorable bears will get valuable with years going, I cannot even think about selling them... I love them too much. Impossible to let them go!
I buy some of my Cheekies on e-Bay and the others brand new from a Merrythought retailer in Witney, Oxfordshire (Teddy Bears of Witney). This shop-museum is absolutely terrific and the people working in so friendly. I have visited it a few times during the year I spent in England. My collection of cheekies began the first time I went to this shop...

I haven't sold any of my handmade bears, so far, but tried to sell one on the french e-Bay site. As expected, no one bid on it... My partner was releived, as he did not want to let him go!!!  :P
But I really want to sell some of my bear to allow myself to buy more teddy bear making materials.
I have to confess that I easily make bears to give as gifts to my familly and friends. That way, it is a bit like if I were keeping them for myself... they are not really gone, as I can visit them!

I fell a bit worried concerning how difficult it gets to sell our bears on e-Bay nowadays. I guess the problem is that there are more and more sellers...

Here, in Le Mans, there are no bear shows. There are a few in France, but generally quite far and tables there are too expensive for me if added to the travel, accomodation, etc...

Beary hugs,
Sophie.  bear_original

Welcome back, Simone!
It looks like the bears from the book of secrets are very successful on e-Bay.
Well done!

I am looking forward to see photos from your hollidays!

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Thanks!
Sadly, I don't go often enough to Britanny! Well, it's about 420 km far from where I live now (closed to Le Mans).
I have visited my family in Britanny last week, but the whether was not the best (quite understandable at this period of the year). what I like so much about this place is that there is still most of the sea cost that is still wild. So this is particularly pleasant to see.
Concerning the little chapel, named "Chapelle Saint Samson", it was in restauration the last time I went there. It used to be closed almost all the time. Once, I found it openned, as ther was a little show in it (photos and stories about this chapel).
There is a touristic around from Argenton to Kersaint from which we can see the sea all along. I go for a drive there almost every time I go to Britanny... The sea is so beautiful!

If you want some comparisons, we can say than the landscapes of North Finistère sea coast are quite similar to the ones of Wales and Irish sea coasts, and maybe Scotish too... (I never went to Ireland and Scotland to compare).

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Here was our cat, Merlin. This was a charming cat, not strange at all.
But we could observe strange phenomena through our camera...

On this photo, he was so hot... the Summer was very hot: about 35°C...:

On these photos, his has magic eyes! Well, at l"east, I did not name him Merlin for nothing!!!

Are there some places where you like to go as often as possible, because you love them so much?

My favourite places are in Britanny where my family lives. They are very closed to the sea.
There are actually many places along the sea coast I love so much...
The sea is so beautiful!

I took these two first photos in a place named Trézien last automn. The sea is the Channel (Manche in French).

trzienbeachfromcoast3er.jpg

sobeautiful6yg.jpg

And the following one very closed to Trézien near a village called Plouarzel. The beach in the back is only 250 m far from my brother's house!!!

seacoastplouarzel3eg.jpg

This one is near Argenton:

argentonctebis2rq.jpg

This one is between Argenton and Kersaint (more in the North): this chapel as inspired many painters.

chapellesaintsamsonbis6ct.jpg

This is me near Argenton about 2 years ago (my hair is shorter now):

sophieargentonbis8gi.jpg

This one is more in the South. This is called "Pointe de Kermorvant". You can notice some blockaus (there are still a lot along the sea coast around Brest) from second world war:

pointedekermorvanbis3ev.jpg

And to finish, my favourite "old" boat, La Recouvrance, which is a copy of the original. I was there when it was made in Brest.

Enjoy!

Ah, what a great idea to show photos showing where we live.
You girls live in great places! I am not that lucky... But well, quite fair as this is just a small flat in town until we have good jobs...

Well, here are phtos of my building (it was built in 1939). I have been living there with my sweetheart for now more than one year.

mybuilding28vd.jpg

mybuilding39na.jpg

Our flat is only 45 squared meters and is looking smaller and smaller as it gets crowded with bears and clocks...  bear_grin !

Sophie.
