Hey you....did you mean for this to be in the Minatures section...it's a great topic but might get overlooked here for those who don't regularly check mini's or like me often get stuck in General :)
I'll respond either way...just thought I'd check first.
Adorable...and yes raccoons are sneaky little creatures. We have a family of them here...they like to play peek-a-boo in the windows with us. As much as we try to bring the kitty food indoors early either the raccoons beat us to it or the skunks.
AWWWWWW...country living!!!
Tammy,
I know exactly how you feel. I got mine earlier in the week and I packed her around for quite awhile admiring how wonderful she is. If I could pack her around in my pocket all day I would...love love love her...but then what's not to love about a bear named "Shantell"...
Congrats Heather...
And for those who are nosey like myself and wanted to see Shelli's workspace and photo closet....here's the link...2nd page about 1/2 way through.

Awesome Shelli...!!! Perhaps I should move everything out of my walk in closet and turn it into a photo studio....oops...can't do that...where would I put my 30 odd pairs of shoes.
Actually everyone who posted photo's has a very nice set up.
Thanks Daphne...you're awesome!!!
Wow...nice job. It looks wonderful...congrats both of you!!
Kim...did ya have to go and say you were born in the 80's...I'm old enough to be your mother...
I keep trying to convince myself EVERYONE on here is my age!!!

I have some Christmas quilt books with crafty stuff in them...I'll dig them out tomorrow and take a peek.
Congratulations Kirsten  ...Enjoy it all because it goes by so fast...next thing you know they are all grown up. You're probably sick of hearing that already but it's sooooooo true.

Just a shameless plug for my birthday which I am thrilled to share with fellow TT'ers...but I see Donna's birthday is the 13th (the real Kindness Day) so perhaps your suggestion, Dilu, of carrying on for 2 days works just fine for me.

I probably should clarify my reasoning for proposing moving World Kindness Day to the 14th....IT'S MY BIRTHDAY...along with Clare and Jane (Mo Beary). :cake: :cake: It just seemed appropriate for the 14th to be World Kindness Day!!!
oh my goodness am I a dunce...it never occurred to me that it's spring time or is it summer (see I'm clueless) in Australia during Christmas. I just envisioned Koala's and Kangaroos in the snow.
Where's my dunce hat I know it's here somewhere....
It's worth it for me as well. I'm in the mindset that if one of my bears doesn't sell then it was at least advertising and I have received some very nice emails from people who have viewed them so if nothing else it's giving me a big ego.... HA HA HA
I have to agree that even though there are what seems like a ton of bears out there that are not selling they are at least out there...being looked at. There are always new people looking...afterall we were all once new.
My biggest problem right now is knowing how to price them and not undercut myself or outprice myself either.
Good Luck with whatever you decide.

Just thought I'd share that this week November 7-13 is World Kindness Week...and November 13 is World Kindness Day. Interesting...I propose that we move Kindness Day to November 14...I think Clare and Jane (Mo Beary) would agree

Tilly needs to work on her hiding the nutella skills...or get a bigger skirt. They are darling dear Dilu...I love them. When does your Golly class start or do you have a date yet?
Congrats Shelli, You my dear are so deserving....but....is it bad to be a bit green with envy?
You are not nuts...I've seen it too...and now you've got me looking for it...

When you figure out the cloning process...can you let me know...I need one too!!!
Oh yeah...I'm aware...
It was bad enough as a kid realizing that you parents did that kind of stuff...but even worse as a parent of children old enough to...

So, this is between us...I'm not telling them I feel that way...and I have a daughter too so I just take a deep breath every time I hear one of them say, "Mom, I need to talk to you...."
Thank you advisors...I'm shocked...I just can't imagine anyone in this group purposely trying to offend another. It makes you want to be VERY careful about what you type. I would hope that if I were to say something to anyone in this group they would address me first. I agree with what Jenny said as well. And, we are all from different cultures as well...as we have all learned what can be nonchalant conversation in one country can be found somewhat if not completely offensive in another and for the most part we speak the same language.
I have emailed Mandie personally to tell her how sorry I am this has happened to her. I hope she agrees to stay and all this can be resolved.
Love to you all...
Sorry Shelli...can't go back and fix it now...we all know...cats out of the bag.
I too am a perfectionist (except when typing...my fingers just fly faster than my brain I guess). I've been told I'm a control freak but I say NOT. I am pretty hard on myself in terms of doing things right....critical to a fault. I pick apart everything that is wrong with something I've done rather than all the good things. Hmmmm....perhaps I need therapy.

Oh...look at that little face...THAT's why I can hardly wait to be a grandma...
I had that thought too Daphne, but the dissecting them seems so unappealing but we could look at it as elective cosmetic surgery. I only have a couple that are complete disasters...they were both "learning" pieces and mini's at that so it wasn't a complete loss. For the most part all of my bears have turned out whether it was as I had originally intended I'm not sure...probably not.
I played with cheap fur and upholstery fabric the first few rounds that way if I completely messed up I didn't have a lot of money into them and wouldn't feel bad tossing them...or so I thought.
I was to impatient to wait
I'm shocked...what happened to you being a perfectionist control freak?
