I had a special order for a 10 mm bear..
I don`t do these often so after 2 little ones 13mm and 12 mm the third one finally turned out 10 mm
I made a picture from all 3 together crocheted from silk sewing thread and 5 way thread jointed.
Have a nice Sunday!

Hi Jissy, I just answered your message in the yahoo group, glad you found your way, it is a great group with wonderful people willing to help. NO misunderstanding here, Teddy Talk Forum is great!! and I love it!! , but does not have so many members who crochet bears, so hope it was ok to point Jissy to the threadanimals group. Don`t give up and show us your bear here in Teddy Talk when finished, we love to see!!
Happy Crocheting!!
Berta
Thanks Conni!
Thanks so much Natacha and Janine. The feedback is much appreciated!! Always a little scary to come up with something new.
Only 12 mm tall. ALL knots make up his entire body ! Fully jointed.
I wanted to try this for a long time but never got to it.. Making a bear using the 3D Oya Lace technique which are ALL KNOTS. Today I finished him and I am so exited and love to know what you think? He is only 12 mm small and I used silk sewing thread. Myself I think he is more delicate and smoother finish then crochet in this tiny size.
There is a yahoo group all about thread animals. Maybe that is something to look in to. Members share their knowledge and there are some free patterns to try. Lots of info and tips.
The Threadanimals group you can find at:

Yes, you can crochet them together at the same time. You can go from muzzle to backside head, or from top to neck or from neck to top.
I have many patterns available, each pattern explains and teaches something new.
I have also written a book for beginners to advance. I have some books left at an address in USA which would save you on shipping.
Great to see you back Shannon! Sending all good wishes your way!!
Berta
I think the paws look great!! For stuffing you can use wool in the same color as you crocheted the bear. If it looks through a little, you don`t notice if the color is the same.
I use all kind of yarn and thread. As long as you can crochet with it, you can use it. Myself I like my Magic yarn, I sell it in my web
shop at threadteds.com . Mohair is brush able but tangles quickly. I prefer a mixed mohair..synthetic with a little mohair.
You can crochet little scraps from several yarns/threads you have in stock and brush it to see if it is possible and to see the result. Sometimes you might think it can`t be brushed and does brush wonderful... and sometimes it looks like being very brush able and it does n`t do anything, or you ruin the yarn.
For small bears is punch thread very nice to brush. Google for Punch thread or Punch yarn.
I can`t wait to see your finished bear.
Berta
Yes, I am still around
and still make them.
This is my last creation for a new pattern which will be available soon.

May the new year be better as the last year with lots of new inspiration and ideas.. I for one have so many ideas, hope I find time to realize all
Thanks so much!! I like him better in real as in the picture he looks realy big
I posted Little One on eBay..seller ID threadteds
Starting bid only $1,-
Thank you Becky!!
I made this Steam Punk Clown last year who won a Goldene George (2010) and TOBY Industry Award (2010). I used little thingies from old watches, because he is miniature. For bigger Bears save clock pieces.. rusted pins and beads... having a bunch of this stuff together inspires to "what to do" with them. It`s fun!!
Thanks so much!!
This is my preview entry, ROCCO, busy decorating his tree. ROCCO is only 2,5 inches tall, so I decorated wooden blocks with vintage Christmas pictures/wishes, to climb on to reach also the higher spots
Of course also to sit on (use as display) and take a rest when finished. The tree is all crocheted and stuffed!
Voting is open for the preview bears now, until 17 november, go to www.teddiesworldwide.com and cast your vote.
