My little chipmunk friend.  Loves sunflower seeds, even eats out of my HANDS.

I have been making bears for approximately ten years, early on I went to bear shows and did quite well.  Now I live in a rural area, so shows are not available and not cost effective.  I did sell to a couple to stores, but sales have gone down in that area.  I joined Teddy Talk a couple of months ago and have learned so much from the other artists on advertising, etc.  So take up their suggestions and plug along, that's what I'm doing.  It's all about perseverence in the end.  Good Luck.

Love the answers, doesn't make me feel quite so alone in this 'business of bears'.  Like most of you, creating my little critters helps to keep me somewhat sane in this world of ours.  Love Teddy Talk, I now know I'm not alone in my endeavours.  Keep those bears coming!

Received the July/August issue about 10 days ago.

Go for it girl!  She's a cutie.  Sometimes what we think is 'bad' turns out to be a winner.

I was thinking about the same thing too.  Just new into this bear business on line. Sounds like a good idea to have some kind of give-away or discount.  I ordered some altered art supplies for the first time online and received a bonus gift with the order; it certainaly made me feel like ordering from that supplier again.

I too think the name of a bruin can help sell the bear.  Sometimes choosing the right one takes awhile.  One time it comes so easy, you just look at the bear even before it's finished and a name pops into head, other times it never  seems to come. That's bearmaking, creating, it goes on and on.....
