Hi All, I added a couple of bunnies to the anime challange.  Theyir names are Orange U Glad & Rabbit Stu. They may not be true anime but they are as close as I get.

Hi All,
I designed my business cards so they coould be folded in 1/2 & ysed as my hang tags.  I use a 1/8th inch punch to punch the hole but first I do a blurb about it being and artist bear, not a toy, etc & paste it on the inside. Here is my card.

Everyone seems to be thinking in the same direction I have. I actually have used acrylic & brush painted them which give them a kind of funky cool look.  I have been useing them as hair and as accents.

Thanks for noticing I was gone.  I have looked in every once in a while but haven't posted. Needed to do my inventory, taxes & make some bears! Something had to go & it was my internet. I am getting ready for a show in a couple of weeks & need some new stuff to show.

Hi All,
Has anyone had any luck dyeing or ageing cheneille stems or pipe cleaners?  They are not a naural fiber so they don't take a dye well in my exeperience.  I am looking to make a two toned look in green.

I have tried various ways to age a bear. I love using dyes and that works for color. I have used the sidewalkand  a brick wall. I do know an artist who has dragged her bears down the street behind her car. I havent ever gone that far.

Hi All,
Been away for a while but this is a great topic,  Wire mesh sounds interesing. I'lll have to try that.  I have been using florist wire and the guage depends on the size of the ear.

Interesting little things we are learning about teddy bear artists!

This is no big secret to many of my Off Line friends.  I love to travel.  I was was fortunate enought to go to Hong Kong about ten years ago.  I loved it and will go back someday.  I loved the contrast of old and new and all the friendly people. It was a great place to visit for so many people spoke English.

I have also been to various Carribean islands my favorites being St Thomas, Barbados & Aruba.  I have also been to Mexico --- Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo being my favorites there.  I have also meen able to travel the US including New York cit as a young girl (my parents let me save enough money to visit a friend by myself at 13) San Fransisco, and New Orleans. 

My dream trips will someday be to visit Australia and to visit India, and the more Orient (Singapore would be grand) and then there is England, Germany, Greece, Italy, Russia, and anywhere else my mind takes a fancy too.  Don't think I want to see Alaska, too much like home with the snow although I would love to see a moose or a polar bear in the wild.

Along with that I love to photograph the places I go. So much to see and remember when I get back to snowy Wisconsin!

I have been here but mostly lurking.  I find I can't read ALL of Teddy Times otherwise I wouldn't have ANY teddy time.  I also had a big show in Schaumburg to get ready for. I decided to take a week off and will start making more bears after this weekend.

Hi All,
Am adding my little house in the mix here.  It was fun to look at everyone's houses.  The are so different and enchanting, especially Dilu's!

We have a "raised" ranch which means that the garage is in the partially exposed basement.  We live on a hill and can see for approximately 30 miles around.  It is spectacular on the 4th of July because we can see up to 40 sets of fireworks from the surrounding towns. Of course some of them are only tiny little specks on the horizon.

We live on a semi rural road but are still only about 5 minutes from the nearest mall & grocery store. We have deer, hawks, racoons (grrrr), possoms, coyotes, turkeys and sometimes some heron as regular visiters in our yard.

I have attached a photo of one of my favorite view which will unfortunately be changing soon because the land was sold and a new subdivision is going in. I'm sad to see the change because we hve enjoyed that view from our frount window for over 20 years.

Most of my sales were check or cash too.  It seems like people came with money to spend. 

If anyone is interested in doing an ABC show they do offer a credit card service too.  They charge yoou a small percentage to run a card for you, well worth it if you don't have a charge established.

Hi ,
I ususally weed out the pictures that I have botched, or were the lighting is no good or where I missed a big old thread on the bacckground and then save the pictures in a folder with the bears name on them. I store those unaltered.  If I do any alterations I store them in other folders labeled -For Printing, For Emailing, For Website.  I keep them all sepatarted from my personal albums.
