Hiya Helen,
I've recently moved away from my hometown very near Bristol, but there aren't any bear supplies shops (to my knowledge) in Bristol itself. I think maybe the closest supplier would be Bear Basics, they are in Wincanton which is roughly 30 miles ish away - Bear Basics will let you visit by appointment I think. :O) Hope this helps a little.
Oh wow you guys those bears are fabulous!! That's done it, I'm going to make some!! Thank you so much, I always appreciate your help....xxx
My dog runs a mile when there's a brush in the room lol!! You may have to needlefelt another dog with the fur you get!! Thanks for sharing will take a look...xx
Thank you all so much, I'm in the middle of this bear right now and will let you know how I get on !!
Much appreciate you guys!! xx
I want to make a bear (quite small) but with a BIG head compared to the body - kinda anime in construction, but wondered, how do you joint the head so it's not all wobbly and too heavy for the body to hold....?
Any advice welcomed...xxx
I often make bears from fabrics other than mohair - not faux fur (yet!), but upholstery fabrics or velvets etc, they never seem to get as much interest as mohair ones though and yet the same amount of work (often more if it's a challenging fabric!!) goes into the creation. I like the different textures of other fabrics and like to try them, I'd like to know your thoughts about this, would it put you off as a collector?
I just finished little Clown Hobo and put him on ebay, hope you like him

Awwwww absolutely adorable!!! xxxx
Ooooh she's wonderful Ann-Marie!! xxx
I'm having a little clear out sale on ebay, Madilyn is a bear I don't think I've shared with you yet but she's there together with some friends that I'd like to rehome to make some room for new ones, lots of new bears to come!! Hope you like her......xxx
Thank you all!! xx
I decided to use some long pile mohair and little Fifi, who I feel is having a rather bad hair day!!, was the result!! Isn't she funny!!!? Reminds me of a dodgy perm I had in the 80s......
