Ooooooooooh, Shantell, absolutely beautiful babies!!!    I want kittens soooo much now!!

Amelia

...I have been admiring all the bigger bears people accent with needlefelting---is it possible to do the same thing for smaller bears?

Has anyone felted onto upholstery fabric, or does one need to needlefelt only on mohair?

Am very curious as I would very much like to try it, a friend is sending me some needlefelting supplies, but the only thing I want to do with it is use it for accenting---think footpads, toe pads, and I recently saw a panda auction with the eye patches needlefelted!---am definitely not making a whole bear!  That sounds WAYYYYY too labor-intensive---I have the highest regard to those who do needlefelting, but I've heard the horror stories of stabbing fingers, and I am pretty sure I will stick to sewing...and clay.

I for one can't WAIT til Melissa gets my package, and I get her package!!  w00t!

*LOL*  Uh-HUH, Melissa..just a "double-check" and not a kidnapping??  *LOL*  *doing happy dance over thought of package*  =)

Thanks, girls!  I really appreciate all your help and detective work [ ;)@Kim & Daphne].

As for my enchanting little Shukujo, I TOTALLY lucked out on her...every once in awhile, Vivianne lists a Buy-It-Now---well, at least she did late last year---and I bought her for $149, free shipping.  I absolutely adore Shukujo, I carried her around with me from room to room for two weeks after receiving her in the mail, and still take her out with me when I go to town every once in awhile.

*smirks and brags just a little bit*  ;)

shukujo1.jpgI have a most wonderful little bear in my collection from Vivianne Gallli, and I was just admiring her ribbon.  I would like to buy some like it, but I looked up "lace ribbon" & "lacy ribbon" on the net & eBay and can't seem to find anything on it.

Can anyone identify this type of ribbon for me so that I can hopefully go buy some?

Thank you all for your time!

*SHRIEK*  Horrid man!  ..and the artist's husband is a little strange also.  [rolls eyes]  Kim, Morris is darling, shake off their nasty dust, and I'll loan you my 100 foot tall walkin' shoes---they also double as stompin' shoes when need be!

=)

Hugs,

Gina finally got her swap from me---I figured I'd show a photo!

..just slice off the nose on your side of head pattern, and line up the head gusset slicing off the part with the nose lining up with the sides of the head, draw that piece [making seam allowances] onto ultrasuede, and then you sew it all together.

Ooomph, did that make sense?  Or are you talking about an open mouthed muzzle?

ginaswap.jpgA sweet bear named Patricia showed up on my doorstep today!!!  I am so thrilled to have an Orange Blossom Bear in my home, and Patricia is an adorable teddy, with an enchanting expression and lots of charm!!!

I love love LOVE the fur on her, and her little baby shape!!  *does happy dance*

I just wanted to share & show her off!  Her little friend is one of Angel Sawyer's crochet teddies that also showed up today!

Amelia  *absolutely in love with Patricia!*

P.S.---Gina, did you get my package I mailed off?

fribblesltd

*LOL*  It's big to me!!  I've decided even five inch bears are too much work, am just going to do three inches and under...my big goal is to get to 2"!!!

Amelia  *who is off to make a teensy mouse*

fribblesltd

Ooomph!! It's HUGE!!!  Are we sure no re-sizing is allowed?  I hand-sew all my stuff [don't know how to use a sewing machine] and I'd love to downsize this to participate in the challenge...but sewing summat that big would take too long!!

Amelia (aka instant-gratification-freak)

G'night, Aleta!!  I must go also, husband is getting ready to snuggle on the couch.

*waves*  G'night, everyone!  Make it to 30!

..we have a HUGE bell on a cat who-used-to-be-mine-but-I-gave-to-the-inlaws-when-I-got-pregnant-because-the-cat-kneads-womens'-breasts, and she STILL manages to kill birds.  I think she might have two or three bells on her collar now, but she's just learned to walk very very softly.

Amelia

*waves@Edie*  G'night!!!  =)

Amelia

fribblesltd

Yep, she's Ellen's daughter, they're both oh-so-wonderfully nice!!  I really REALLY want JoAnne's panda she has up right now, but my husband would go through the roof!!!

Amelia

fribblesltd

..but BEAR BELLS!!  You remember you always had to carry bear bells, to make sure the bears would hear you.  I could never understand that, thought parents wanted to pinpoint bears to childrens' locations and CRUNCH! MUNCH!  no more pesky kids!!

I've never heard of saskatoons either.  *googling*

Amelia

Ich bin krank.  Du bist dumkopf.

Hah!  That's what I remember in my exchanges of witty German repartee with my brothers---also of a like mind.  We were only 9-14..

Amelia

fribblesltd

...I think the Extreme Moose Tracks in the freezer is calling my name---only, if I get it out, it will also be calling my husband's name when he sees it!  Hrm, what to do, what to do...

Amelia

fribblesltd

Seriously, black bears and grizzlies love 'em to death.  And if bears like 'em, you know they gotta be good!

Amelia

fribblesltd

..imma go with the Little Rascals on this one..

"What's a diamond?"
"Like a ruby."
"Well, what's a ruby??"
Said in a tone of suggesting one is dealing with a halfwit,"Like a DIAMOND!!!"

---it's basically a blueberry, only smaller, purpler, and with a bit more tartness...maybe like a bit of raspberry thrown in?

Amelia

fribblesltd

Ooooooooooooh, Mrs. Spoonover's!!  Mmmmm mmmmmm!!  Love their ice cream with huckleberries.

Amelia

fribblesltd

...you can eat non-raw sushi.  It's delicious!  You would have to like seafood though---they have several cooked sushi rolls---

smoked salmon with cream cheese, red onion and capers
dungeness crab with snow peas

YUM!!!!  Good fishy oils for skin and hair too.

Amelia

fribblesltd

*LOL*  The Shingle Springs reminds me of hot-tubbing with a group and then finding out one of the bunch had shingles...can you transmit it if one submerges in a hot bath with an infected shingler?

Amelia

fribblesltd

I've heard of Pincher Creek, Edie!!  And Kalispell's going great guns on new stores, Whitefish still has the bestest sushi on the planet though.

We live about ten minutes away from the stores you mentioned [TJ Maxx, etc.], and man, has that fact been a bit hard on the pocketbook!  A mite too convenient!!
