I know this is not bear related, but when we travel we usually wear our New Rock boots which have metal on the heels and they set the alarm off. We now take our boots off before going through the metal detectors and put them through the x-ray. Otherwise we have to take them off and go through the metal detectors all over again. Other travellers usually give us funny looks and ask why we do it, but as soon as they see our boots they just laugh at us.

I have just sent them an email. If they don't have any copies left, I will put up another post.

I will look on ebay too, just in case.

IMG_3077_edited_edited-1.jpgThis is a picture of the view at the back of our house last night.

We woke up this morning to find it all gone.  bear_sad
I thought it would have lasted at least 1 day.

I don't think that we have had decent snow here for at least 6-10 years.

Kat

I would like to get a copy of Teddy Bear and Friends (facebook issue). I have tried to order the magazine from their website, but all I can do on there is subscribe to the magazine.

Since we bought our house in December, money is very tight (I can't afford to subscribe) and I don't think any shops sell the magazine over here.  bear_sad

I will pay for the magazine and postage by paypal.

If anyone is willing to get a copy of this issue for me please pm me.

Hugs,
Kat

Kat

Awwww! They are so cute, I want one.

I haven't read a book in months, only my bear mags. I think the last book I read was "At the Mountains of Madness" by HP Lovecraft. I keep meaning to pick up my Edgar Allan Poe book (which is like a bible - lots of thin pages and tiny writing), but I just can't find time recently.

Kat

I'm up for linking to everyone too.

I don't usually do commissions, but I couldn't resist this one...he's only six years old!

Speaking of 6 year olds;

My nephew would be my best customer. Except he is only 6 and obviously can't buy them.  bear_tongue

At some point I am going to borrow the conference room at work and put them on display. It might work to get some interest. The problem is where I live, people look at the price and say "How much?!". They don't like parting with their money much.  bear_sad

Kat

I don't have a studio. I usually just completely spread out and take over the living room. Then I either turn on the tv or put cds on.

Kat

It was the same up here in Yorkshire. The town centre where I work was completely shut off by the police because of tiles coming off of the roofs. A lot of the roads were shut too.

I think it felt worse in Whitby at Halloween. I had to hold on to the whalebones to stop myself being blown off the end of the cliff. Very scary!!

Kat

My biggest pet peeve has got to be other drivers (mainly on roundabouts).

1.  People pulling out on you or cutting you up in the middle of a roundabout because they don't know what lane to be in.

2.  Not using your indicators - It is a little stick at the side of the steering wheel. So simple a small child could use one.

3.  Slow drivers - I'm usually in a rush.

4.  Call centres

5.  Work!! There's just too much of it.

bear_angry

Ok, now I feel better. bear_grin

I use a company called M C Mills in Barnsley. It is a supplier that Robs dad uses for his garage.
I think it cost me about £10 altogether for 200 each of split pins, bolts and locknuts and 400 washers. Much cheaper than buying joints in packs. I tried in B&Q before and had no joy. Smaller hardware shops/garage suppliers would be your best bet. Plus, they know more about what they are selling.  bear_original

The only problem is finding a decent hardboard to make the discs from.

Kat

Chi-Chi-edited.jpgThis is Chi Chi. She is 14 inches tall and weighs 1 pound 4 ounces. She is now living in Leeds.

Kat

Congratulations Kimberley!

I hand sew everything. It takes me ages, but I enjoy it. Plus, I get a better (straighter) seam when I hand sew things than when I use a machine. bear_thumb

Kat

It usually takes me 1 - 2 weeks to make one bear, although I do hand stich everything. I work full time, so I sew whenever I get time to do it.  bear_original

Kat

Aw.

I want some nice snow.
We just get horrible brown slush. The snow never lasts here.  bear_sad

Kat

I just have a panda to finish, then I'll have a go too.  bear_thumb

I have just created my first website.

It is still a work in progress, but it's nearly there (I think).

This is the link:

Hope you enjoy, please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

Kat

Yes, we do own all that clothing. It costs a fortune though, which is the only downside (I usually save up to buy one new dress a year). In fact I own much more.
We went for five nights and filled two suitcases and a few extra plastic bags. Most of which was my stuff.

Thanks for all your comments. Don't think there will be a wedding anytime soon though. Long engagement since we have just bought the house.
Only about 2 weeks to go now.  bear_original

Kat

Congratulations, your wedding looked like a lot of fun.

I hope you have a long and happy life together.
