giggling at Lisa...

I use to sleep under tables sometimes at bear shows because not just for being dead tired, but because i get embarrassed, i'm really quite shy in the flesh (not with a few glasses of wine though)..it doesn't appear i'm shy in writing at all, but believe me i am..

hehe.. Lisa, I do believe you were having a glass of wine when I met you. You were not shy.. you were absolutely gorgeous! And funny.. as a matter of fact.. I KNOW you were having wine cause I remember your hubby went off to get you more.
LOL

I always crack up when I see someone's feedback that have many many negatives.. and when you read them, it is usually the same complaint time and time again, and the sellar always blames the buyer.. Amazing!

I know Gail from Sierra Meadows, she is a fellow artist.. and a lawyer to boot. But Gail is also frazzled at times. She really wouldn't intentionally not respond. She may be having some other problems as well. You might want to call her on the phone instead. I know Gail wouldn't want unhappy customers.

I always try to leave feedback as soon as someone pays. I myself don't like being held hostage by the feedback.I have 2 negatives on my feedback from sellers who held the feedback as hostage on me. I paid for both auctions immediately after the auction ended and never recieved thew items. I emailed several times with no response from one.. and very rude responses from the other. They admitted they had damaged the item and it no longer was available, but never gave the refund either. I warned each several times to please email me so we could work something out. I told them I really would prefer to arrange something with them rather than leave bad feedback. Even then they wouldn't respond to emails. I emailed ebay to see that the contact info was right and it was, but still no response. I really hate getting ripped off. So I fianlly left neg feedback. Very polite and factual. JUst said that I paid on such n such date and item never received, no response to emails. Boy did I get blasted! Can't beleive that someone would have the b... a... l... well you know what I mean, to actually blast me while they had my money.

Loved your little village.  It looks like a lovely place to visit. How is the broadband project going? I think it is wonderful that even though it is very tiny, people are willing to invest to get broadband there with only 7 people required.  This guy

would surely love to visit!

Shantell, that is a great idea! Also what I have done in the past when mine was copied is go to thier auction ans click on ask the seller a question and I typed in Why are you copying my auction? this is FRAUD! in all caps of course and others will be able to see it

Lisa it is similar here also. It's funny that you spelled it Sunny Bears, because that is the other company name and mine is Sunnie Bears. A lot of my collectors say they have been confused by it. So when they type in my website (sunniebears.com) they have sometimes mistakenly typed it as sunnybears.com. They would get an error because the site was not found. So they then knew what they did wrong and so they changed it to sunniebears.com and found me just fine. NOW when they type it in wrong, they are taken to the other site.

I have another question related to this. What about your business name. I have been using Sunnie Bears for over 4 year and applied and received a "ficticious business" name. When I applied, the name was researched only in the state I live in (although I did a search thruout the US). Since it was not being used elsewhere I was givin the permit to use it. Now there is another business in another state who is using the same name spelled slightly different. And I have no doubt they are innocently using it, meaning they have never heard of me. But at the same time, I have collectors who have emailed me already saying they saw this other business advertised and it confused them because they thought it was me. I understand I would have to apply for a copyright and prove I was using the name first, which I could prove, before I could do anything about it. Only then would I be able to do anything about it. Even with the spelling different, because it is in the same "industry" the other person should not be able to use that name. BUT that being said, as it is, I wouldn't want to alienate another in the same business as we are in. So to me it isn't worth it to pay for the copyright and fight to force them to change. My only salvation is that the other business cannot apply and receive a copyright because they would have to prove they used the name first and they will not be able to.

Oh Jane, I am so sorry, I can barely see to type. I brings back so many memories of my baby Ginger ( a mixed terrier) who I had for 15 years. I thought I would never get over it... but time heals.... HUGE doggie hugs

I can remember just a very short time ago, Shelli brought up the subject of ACEO/ATC's . Everyone was SO into it! The excitement was tangable and we all anticipated this new "extra" avenue of teddy bears.
So now where is everyone? Nancy has given us space at a terrific (free) price, yet I have seen only maybe 5 or 6 different artists listing any there. I have made several and have either swapped with other artists or they sold on Bid 4 Bears. Dilu and Sandi S, and Aleta also have been listing some. The rest of you do not know what you are missing. These cards are really little works of ART. I love the cards I have swapped with others. Come on guys.. you won't be sorry to try it out. It's fun, easy, and addicting. I have just listed 4 more so come on over and see what they are all about.
Hugs

Aw Daphne! All that work for these bunnies. I know the feeling. I remember making my first real fur bear.I worked so hard on the face and he turned out so cute. I had just got the head done and had all of the pieces in a zip lock bag. I had taken it to work with me and worked on it while I was sitting waiting for a test to start. Anyway, when I brought it hom, I had the bag inside my purse and put it on the dining room table. I went upstairs and came down about 5 minutes later and one of my dogs (it was Tilly the one eyed poodle) had taken it out of my purse and the entire downstairs was covered in rabbit fur! I almost cried. Now I know to keep my real fur bears well away from my dogs. The others they don't bother.. thank goodness.
