I have two mechanisms that I purchased on ebay. I would be willing to let one go. I will have to check when I get home from work and see what I paid for them. I don't think it was much though.

Daphne, Have you thought about needlefelting the white onto the felt plush? A fine layer needlefelted onto it should blend very nicely.

Marie, I fixed it now.. It looks like the picture was moved from where I first posted it from. You should be able to see him now.

Me! ME! I think that is a superb idea! By the way Shelli, I have often wondered what you would come up with for me. You are so creative and seem to capture the essense of the person you make your avatars for.

Thanks Shelli
Now that I look at it, I think the fur she is looking for looks more like an ostrich. But I thought this fur would be a great alternative to a solid green bear for St Paddy's Day. Just takes careful trimming to get the undercoat to show without any of the guard hairs mixed in. The purple looks interesting too. I liked that even though it was a knit back, it doesn't have much stretch to it.

I will be adding some on Nancy's site this weekend. I already have been adding a one of a kind with each bear I send out. So far they have been received with enthusiasm by my collectors.

Daphne, I am so happy for you! I loved both Mimzy's But I do think this one looks RIGHT for the movie. If you are serious about a list, I would love to order one. Add me to your list.

I made my own also, but as before I used Shelli's style on this one as a base.

Is this the same stuff? I found green, red and purple at a Joanns an hour away from me. I bought the green and purple. Paddy is the only one I made from it and it was pretty easy to work with.

Add me into Shelli's corner. I trim all of the seam allowances with clippers before sewing. If I know the bear will have a shaved muzzle, I also trim the muzzle and side pieces before sewing. If I am not sure I will wait until after, but I usually trim the nose area of both the sides and the muzzle with clippers before sewing.  I stitch the nose first and then set the eyes. Ears go on last after the bear is done

My registration was with Register.com. But when renewal came up, I also got a notice from Domain Registry. They are a competitor. They watch for renewal dates and then send a notice offering a certain price (usually a little less then you inititally were paying. But you have to watch it. They also offered LESS as far as services went than I was already getting. And you have to send in a bunch of paperwork. Contact yahoo if you are unsure. They generally will offer you a better deal if you let them know that another company wants your business.

I concur with the others. I didn't think of it before, but I also start mine just above where the mohair meets the pad.

I learned from Jennifer also and I have had the same problem from time to time. You may have them stuffed TOO tight.. I can think of all kinds of things that would cause that.. maybe the foot isn't flat enough? (which would put extra ultra suede in the pad.) or maybe it is the type oif ultra suede. I generally have that same problem if I use a very heavy ultra suede. The lighter  stretchier ultra suedes seem to work best.

Thanks all of you! Jane, I just got the giggles when you thought it was me. I couldn't stop laughing. It was like the game we played when we were kids and you had to whisper a secret to someone and they whispered it to someone, and by the time it got all the way around the circle, the secret was not the same as the first one. lol
