It's nearly over , but yes - Happy St. George's Day - and Shakespear's Day! A few flags about locally, but one never can tell whether they're really for St. Geroge's Day or just football! Haven't been into the town today, but think there was supposed to be something happening in the way of celebrations in the new Eden Centre - there was a 'Knight' in chainmail giving out flags on Saturday and telling people about something that was going to be going on - mostly aimed at the children I think. We really should celebrate it more than we do - some people don't even know.
Try Morris     !!!
Well done Kathleen. Sounds like my good intentions for the last umpty-odd years, but you've been and gone and done it - and done it well. The website was clear and user-friendly and I love the critters - specially Rufus. Good luck with Ebay - and all the 'servious bear-making business' - sure it should do well.
  Congratulations Maria ........'What a piece of work is'..A BEAR! Think I shall always now see your Hamlet with my 'mind's eye' whenever I think of the play; I love that play ...... I love that bear!!! Well done - keep the smilies dancing!

At last I've got a new computer so can get back to joining in the chat, and hopefully get back to joining in the bearmaking too now I've nearly got the workroom sorted following our move.
Happy making and collecting

Happy New Year to you too, Jane, and all the family and to everyone out there in TT - here's to a Hapy, Healthy and Successful one to you all -
Margaret
Oh Jane! Trust something like that to happen to you! but thank Goodness for the alarm and that you're all OK. Like otherfolk, I was thinking of you Christmas day and imagining you having a lovely family time (with Sarah cooking I guessed) and hoping you were safe and healthy - some "happening" (though I hoped not) but I couldn't have guessed that one could I? Hope you've managed to get cooker fixed, or replaced - either way not good expenditure at this time of the year - or luck in the sales if necesssary? Let it be warning to us all to get alarms though!
I loved your Christmassy bear too - does look as if he might have had glum premonition though - checked him out Christmas day, but phone call before I could comment then all the rest of Christmas day........ etc. Also love your Christmas chimp.
So, I'm back to trying this - see if it disappears on me when I press "submit" if so, I'll try message -
Oh Paula - that really is a cute cat and sweet photos. My daughter has a very similar photo of her black cat - Satan - when he was tiny and at the food bowl. He's a big cat now - 4 or 5 years old - and still a mischief. He's not normally a "lap cat" but he is for my husband who is NOT a cat person - but definitely THIS CAT'S person!. Strange really, my son-in-law is not a dog person, but our old dog used to worship him much to everyone's amusement.
Anyway, you're definitely going to get a lot of amusement from that gorgeous bundle of black fur - hope you're not into making black bears at the moment!!!
Have fun.......and more photos as he grows!!!
Margaret
Wow! Definitely beats the odd squirrel - but decidedly more scarey! Lovely pictures.
Margaret

Margaret
Wow! That's wonderful - really 1st time? I've got all the stuff and book but haven't had a go, but can't imagine coming up with anything like that - weird shapeless lump with blood on it's paws is what I envisage!! Well done you anyway - shall look out for more creations.
Margaret :
Congratulations to everyone - they're all gorgeous - wonder how many hours' work they would all add up to - BIG numbers!!!
Margaret

Margaret
What else can one say except GORGEOUS! Have fun!
What about that fake grassy stuff so that they could be playing or something? Just a thought and something I always fancied doing, but I don't know how the lighting would affect the overall colours - bet you'll come up with something beautifully artistic whatever -
Hugs again - Margaret
Oh yes, Jane - I really love those - so many truths in one fell swoop!!
Glad you're back in chatting action - Hugs - Margaret
Hi Jane - glad that computer's fixed and you're back to TT. Hope all goes well now and no more overdoing things and no more stresses. Take care of yourself -
Love & hugs -
Margaret
Thank you for all the messages for Jane. I spoke to her last night and passed on all the kind thoughts in a general way, but she wanted to wait to read them for herself - hopefully tomorrow if the computer gets fixed OK. Meanwhile I'm glad to report she was feeling quite a lot better and has been able to get down to some bits of "bearing" etc. Thanks again -
Margaret
Well Done! Hope you really enjoy it. Good luck for the future
Margaret
So glad you gave her the body - she's gorgeous - until I got to your post saying you'd done it, I was going to say you could just see the puzzled, pleading look just asking why not!!!
Margaret
Hello everybody! I had a brief phone chat with Jane yesterday evening - brief because she wasn't feeling at all well - awful headache and had fallen several times and been to the hospital where they stuck needles in her and sent her home to try and rest, relax, sleep and drink plenty because she was dehydrated! Poor Jane, she's had such a stressful time lately and needs all the support the Bearhugs section can give, but I'm putting this in General because to add to her problems, Jane's computer has gone "bang" and she can't get somebody to come and fix it until Wednesday and was concerned because she'll have lost files and won't be able to send people her usual birthday cards, so I said I'd try do a post (my first try) to let folks know why, and why she's not going to be here for a few days. So I've tried and hope it works and that all her friends will keep her in their thoughts etc.
Margaret
hello again with apologies- this time to Chloe - trust me to get things wrong as soon as I start communicating - YOUR wonderfu bear, Julie's wonderful photos - but I still vote for No. 2.
