OMG - my little sausages, it's so nice to hear from you all  Charlotte, Sue Ann, Patsy, Sarah Jane, Jenn, Tami and Danny    I hope i will be able to get here more often over the autunm/winter months.....blimey it's boring working on your own is'nt it? I often wonder if that is'nt one of the reasons why bear artists throw in towel and go back to normality - lack of interaction unless it's with a piece of mohair and a pair of ears that won't quite match (my fav hate with bears).
I am really busy at the mo but i have decided that if don't get back into the bear making soon i never will and i do love making the little buggers.

El Tel rarely drinks since he became a fitness fanatic Jen, i simply cannot tell you how much that hurts me - ME a confirmed party animal....he would rather cycle through the bloody Alps than get drunk ( i have seen the holiday brochures and believe me it's scary)...see what i have to put up with?

mmmm beer, vampires, shipwrecks AND chish and fips........what more could anyone want?

I drag my sorry lardy fat butt back onto TT for a chat and a giggle and you have all disappeared! I expected at least 400 of you to be here gossiping at least!
Throw your fuzzy slippers in the trash, don't eat for a couple of days, slip into that slinky little black dress and we can go out clubbin...........no? Yes?
OK - so we can all stay in, eat another cream cake whilst pretending we look like Kate Moss, i don't mind    It's me favourite fantasy anyway (actually it is'nt but i am far tooooo much of a lady to post my most private fantasies here - see my BLOG! ho ho)
I have been away from TT for so long now that i suppose i should post an entry in the 'new members' area introducing meself but to be honest i have'nt changed and am still far too lazy.....
I hope you are all well and are selling bears hand over fist for loadsa moolah. I have'nt had the opportunity to make a bear since last November! Can you believe that...nearly a year! I have been so wrapped up with other work that my Moonlings and Cacophany Cats have been put on the back burner (poor sods) but i am determined to get a new pattern finished and get sewing bears again soon.
BTW, has anyone ever worked with resin for their bears faces/paws? I have been thinking about this for a while and just wondered if anyone had any knowledge of casting resin.....?

Anyways, i am back and will be around for a while - lovely to see you all again (even if you ain't actually here when i chose to make my comeback), i hope you are all well.

I have always wanted to visit Whitby but El Tel never wants to travel around the UK on his hols (even for a short break), vampires, shipwrecks and fish and chips - what could be better!

It really is awful, so awful in fact that my son and his family are going to come and stay with us for a while - they have'nt had a bath or shower for days now and i suspect they will bringing tons of dirty laundry with them. They were saying that panic buying has been going on and they are having problems buying things like nappies where they live in Gloucestershire. Must have nappies for my little grandson!

Thanks for posting the pics Sam, it does look bad. My sons mother-in-law's house got flooded too (she's in Prestbury) and guess what? her insurance ran out 2 weeks ago and she never got around to renewing it......how's that for a total bummer.
Glad that you have'nt been flooded out, i heard on the news that there is still more rain on the way up there and the rivers are still rising with the water that is coming down from Wales so get the sandbags ready.
My little grandson talked to me on the phone and said "I got wet Gramma. Daddy got wet. Mummy did'nt get wet cos she stayed in the car but the car did'nt like it"

I am trying to get here more often but time slips away like a bar of soap through wet fingers - another week gone AWOL already!
Dreadful flooding here - my son and his family were coming to visit this weekend but they are staying at home baling out the house now - he's in Cheltenham........anyone here from that area who could let me know how bad it is?

Have a great weekend Everyone - we are expecting up to 2 months of rain over the next 24 hours here in the UK so if you see a fat middle aged bear maker floating past your bedroom window in a rubber dinghy clutching a photo of George Clooney to her ample bosom, it will be me.

That's a fantastic shot of you riding your bike Jennifer............Yosemite is on my To-Do list, i have always wanted go there ever since i saw paintings of it by American artists.
A Bear!.....not too keen on that aspect of Yosemite, if i ever go i will take a bodyguard with me and a suit of armour.

It's a nightmare trying find anything here in the UK - almost like an expedition into uncharted jungles.....we have hardly any craft stores here!
There is a massive one near to where my son lives but yep, you guessed it.....it never has what i want so i end up having to buy online all the time.
Remember the days when every small town had a haberdashers shop? Wool shop?

That is such a shame of it's true Jenny, i adored Amy's bears and her website always made me giggle with all the 'family members' kind of layout. It was like looking through a beary family tree. Her bears would always sell out before i ever had the chance to buy one and now it seems i will never get the chance.
I will have to check it out.

It's a dreadful thing to have happened but if guns are so readily available i suppose it is inevitable that they will fall in to the wrong hands sooner or later.
I feel so sorry for the families of those killed. I don't think they should show the gunman on TV....it's not a very sensitive thing to do. Typical Media response though.
