Wow!  Just exquisite!  Best of luck, Judi, but I doubt you'll need it.

Enthralled hugs,

bear_cry  It's so heartbreaking!  We lost our oldest kitty girl a few months ago and it was so very painful for my whole family.  I'm so sorry your family and you are dealing with this kind of loss.

Big hugs,
Lyn

I'll have to hunt down a wallpaper store locally

If there's nothing locally, there are plenty of places online.  They also have great selections at home stores like Home Depot and Lowe's......I think Sherwin Williams stores carry wallpaper as well.

Hugs,
Lyn

The auction for "Let There Be Peace" is not over yet but it has surpassed my wildest expectations.

Not mine!  I hope it goes much higher by the time the last bidder sings.  They are such an incredibly beautiful and stunning pair.

Hugs,
Lyn

But I think I would send her bear back to her as well with a little note saying thank you but no thank you.

That's what I was thinking.  With any luck, she'll return your poor, abused bearchild, too.

Supportive hugs,
Lyn

I'm loving this thread!  It's been very helpful.  Thank you muchly!

Awed, as usual, hugs,

Well, heck, had they been displayed on a dumpster I'm sure I would have liked to scoop at least one of them up!  bear_wub  Your bears are unbelievably cute, Shelli.

In my opinion, those who work bringing huge amounts of beauty and joy into the world making bears, deserve to be as well paid as this particular artist......and that includes all the artists participating on this board.

Hi Danni,
Have you considered calling the police?  This woman has, quite literally, stolen your bears and I'm sure you can file a report.  I mean, it's worth a try, right?   You might be able to get your bears back and, of course, scare the bejeebers out of them. bear_thumb

Good luck hugs,
Lyn

Wow!  Another gorgeous traditional ted!  Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Clare.   I love the tea party.  It's an utterly perfect setting.

Envious hugs,
Lyn

LynBlair

I just LOVE your bears, Marion.  bear_wub   I agree with the others, I could cuddle this snuggly ball of fluff forever.

Hugs,
Lyn

....and one more thing!  If you're unsure about your pattern pieces fitting together properly, measure on the seamline, not the edge of the pattern, to see if the the pieces that meet are the same size.

More hugs,
Lyn

LynBlair

Yayyy!!!  Something I can actually comment on!!!  It's common procedure in pattern drafting to work without a seam allowance at all, and then add it after the pattern is made.  It makes it so much easier to think in terms of the pattern itself and to realize the seam allowance is not part of the actual pieces you're working with.  It's added on later only to give you space to sew and to keep the fabric from falling apart.

I was reading some posts comparing inset and appliqued panda eye patches and someone commented that it didn't make sense because when you add the seam allowance the eye opening becomes smaller and but the inset becomes bigger.  If you think of it in terms of matching exactly on the seam line, as opposed to the edge of the seam allowance it becomes clearer.  Of course the eye opening seam allowance might need to be clipped and the inset might need to be notched, it will fit together at the seam line, which is the truly important thing.

Soooo....could I have possibly been any more confusing?   bear_ermm

Arrggghhh!!!  I have 2 negative feedbacks and both were bogus.    bear_angry

One was from a woman who left it three days after the auction ended because she felt she hadn't recieved payment on time......the most annoying thing was that this was before Paypal was around.  Apparently my check hadn't arrived in California from New York in 3 days .  She did end up posting positive feedback to make up for it, as the check arrived a couple of days later.....but it's still sitting there messing up my percentage.

The second was from a bidder who never got in touch, never paid and left a negative saying "Never recieved package."       Gah!

Annoyed hugs,
Lyn

LynBlair

Holy freaking moley!  Wotta' bear!  She's absolutely gorgeous.  I'd be weepy, too.

Amazing bear, Aleta.  I love beautifully made traditional bears more than any other type.  I'm in awe of your talent.

Wowed and envious hugs,
Lyn

LynBlair

bear_shocked He's quite the wild child, isn't he?  He's wonderful!  bear_wub

Fluffy hugs,
Lyn
