We had a terrific day for Thanksgiving here, No snow, a Beautiful 60 degrees with sunshine.

Though the mornings and night are incredibly cold. Tuesday I went out to feed the horses and forgot to put on my gloves, it was 8 F. Talk about cold fingers!!!!OUch.  :P
We are supposed to get snow maybe Saturday, YEAH!!!! My daughter was complaining last night, where the heck is the snow, it is not supposed to get that cold without the snow. We were feeding horses in the dark and the beautiful sunny day had turned to 15 degrees.  :rolleyes:
Hoping all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving here in the US. We have so much to be Thankful for always.

Thanks for all the great compliments. He was a new design, that was his third head. I still think his arms and legs are to long and body not fat enough. So back to the sketching pad!!!
I think he's cute enough, just could use a little adjusting.

Yesterday I spent the day at the Hospital, My husband was having surgery ( no Big deal this time).
It kept getting pushed back later and later. He was supposed to go in a 2:00 pm didn't get in til 6:00 pm. While I was waiting I kept seeing these two women with a baby coming and going. One older and one very young with the baby. Then I saw a young man hurt very badly being pushed to surgery. At about 7:30 the older woman came and sat next to me.
The hurt young man was her son, the young woman her daughter in law and grandchild. He had been in a Head on Collision on his way home from work. He had suffered serious facial trauma and Right hip injury.
This was why God had kept me there so long, My husband had been in a terribly accident 11 years ago at work, He suffered massive facial trauma, as well as Right hip injury.He has undergone 17 operations since. I was able to tell her and show her pictures before and after recovery and assure her that they could do amazing work.
I told her that I would pray for her and her son. She seemed much relieved after I shared my experience with her.
Her son's Name is Doug Johnson, young man with a young wife AMy and a baby. Please pray for him for speedy recovery. Pray for his family for strength, peace and patience. These recoverys are very long and Painful and will require many surgeries.

Your family and Tylers family will definitely be upheld in prayers. We have been so fortunate. Our friends son has already been to Iraq twice, and We had a young man just return last week that goes to our church. Our next door neighbors brother in law is in Iraq right now.
It is so hard to watch the news.
Our prayers go out to all of them and thier families!!!! What a tough Job!

I just purchased one off of Ebay, thanks to Dilu's previous tips. I only payed 7.50 plus shipping for it. And thanks to Shelli's tips, I just purchased an new photoshop software program. I only payed 8.00 for the software, Yeah!! I love Ebay somedays, the new stuff should be here any day now.  :hug:

Here is my newest bear. Kristobear Jingles, stands approx. 4.5 inches tall. I am getting in the Christmas spirit. Putting up decorations outside already!!

I am having the same trouble I get very discouraged too. I have only had one bear sell on ebay in the last four months.  I know that these are some of the cutest bears I have made. I don't know what is wrong. I just keep plugging along.

I suffer from insomnia on a regular basis. It comes with the hormone changes during my menstral cycle, I have menstral migraines too. It usually only lasts a night or two.
I just try to tough it out. Sometimes the antihistamines that Sue ann said is the way that I go. A couple of benadryl and I am out for the night.

OH Crud Kimmie,
I can't just chop off the heads!!!Not that a few bears haven't lost their heads here now and then.
I usually make the heads first do all the sculpting, everything before I make the body, so if a head turns out ugly it never gets a body. HA HA I have afew ugly heads rolling around.

They are actually a discard item from my employer. One of our supplies comes in them and they throw out the containers. I thought they were perfect for the bears, since I was already purchasing small containers to do the same thing.  :thumbsup:
Now I get the containers for free.
I work for a federal employer so I don't think you can get them from anywhere else? Sorry.

I tried crimping the wire into a loop once but , the eye just popped off the wire.Have you had that problem?? I will give it another try. Since I have about 20 pairs of eyes on wires and can't seem to use them.

I had the same problem with a bear I shipped to Australia. It cost about 15.00 to ship a mini bear. The woman was furious, so I refered her the usps website and told her if she could find a better rate I would try it. After that she calmed down. It does seem a bit outrageous a cost.
I wanted to send the bear the way I usually do but you can't get the customs tag on the smallest package and She wouldn't allow me to send it in a bubble envelope.

My bears are so small that I make individual container for them. A small keepsake tin with Handstamped teddy bear on it with my logo. Or smallest Keepsake box with similar designs on them, Handstamped. And then put them in bubble envelopes to ship them.

But this buyer insisted that I put him in a Box to ship him so that cost even more!
I don't know how to make it any cheaper to ship them. I just list the bear shipping standard $7.00 in the US and $14.00 Internationally. That usually covers Insurance, delivery confirmation and package cost.
