every now and again i make a bear i decide to keep, trouble is i only ever want one bear of my own so in a week or so ill prob make another one that "i want" ... fact is , i never really have my own bear, i just borrow them for a while!!
the saying that what doesnt kill you makes us stronger.... anyone who's ever had their heart broken will agree with that!
and.....never think of changing the past because lifes too short and you wouldnt be who you are today xxxxxxxxxx 
he does have a little secret, hes hiding his face as hes not too pretty!!! 
heres a little group of bears iv been making, wanted to share them, at the moment theyre not for sale but will be in 3-4 weeks, today was the day i decided to photograph them as my index finger is about the only one i can move after all that sewing and stuffing!!!
the white one with the cherry hat is "teddy bakewell" and the ginger one is "gingie", the cow print one is "buttercup" and the small chap is "alfie" the others are so far nameless so if you have any suggestions they will be greatly appreciated...

if you use the black glass eyes, spend a little time to sand it with an emery board for a matt bootbutton effect, looks great!
I was taught to use upholstery thread to set eyes but just recently (took 7 years!) I tried sinew and WOW! It's so much easier to work with. Thanks to Laura's tip I just tried it on the neck tonight and it worked like a dream.
if you cant get your hands on that then dental floss does the job just as well. theres a cheapy cheap shop in my town that sells a big box of it for 79p, i think iv used two in the last year..... bargain!, never yet had a snap.
and iv heard its great for cleaning between teeth too!

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT BY FIRING PEOPLE THEY DONT HAVE TO PAY OUT REDUNDENCY MONEY AND THEY ARE PICKING UP ON PETTY REASONS.
ID GO FOR UNFAIR DISMISSAL, IF YOU WERNT UP TO THE JOB, HOW COME YOU HAVE WORKED THERE FOR SO LONG.
PEOPLE LIKE THIS MAKE ME SO ANGRY, WEVE ALL COME ACROSS COMPANIES LIKE THIS AT SOME POINT, I USED TO WORK FOR A SMALL PRIVATE COMPANY, THERE WAS ONLY 3 OF US, THE BOSSES PET, HIS SISTER IN LAW AND ME, I WORKED THERE FOR A WHILE AND WHEN BUISINESS WAS SLOW, I GOT FIRED BECAUSE I WASNT SUITABLE,HE NEVER EVEN TOLD ME TO MY FACE, HE RANG THE PET AND SHE TOLD ME.
I NEVER HAD A DAY OFF SICK OR PUT A FOOT WRONG AND I CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE A REALLY HARD WORKER, LONG AND SHORT OF IT, HE HAD TO PAY ME MY STANDARD WAGE FOR THE TIME I WAS OUT OF WORK, LUCKY FOR HIM IT WAS ONLY A WEEK.
HE GOT OF LIGHTLY, BUT 1 YEAR LATER HE WAS BANCRUPT, WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!
IF I EVER BUMPED INTO HIM ID LAUGH IN HIS FACE..... GEEEES IM ANGRY FOR YOU.

HES SOOOOOOOO WONDERFUL, I WAS JUST HAVING A GOOD LUCK AT TOM, KATIES GOT HOLD OF HIM AND THEY ARE BOTH CUDDLED UP TOGETHER FAST ASLEEP, HE LOOKED HAPPY ENOUGH SO IV LEFT THEM TOGETHER.

thanks for the lovely comments, im going to have to find somewhere dust free for him, theres not may of those places in my house!!tut-tut, rather than him getting dusty or sly choccy cuddles from the native small people, he may have to be put away for safe keeping x
this is an old chiltern bear that my mums friend found in his loft and was about to take to the tip before my mum quickly chastised him!
he has his old lable " chiltern hygenic toys"
but he was low on stuffing, his head had fell off and his ear was hanging off from the back, as well as having a very poorly foot.
His eyes were very badly scratched.
iv given him some little repairs, trying to keep him as traditional as possible.
His eyes are now black glass which i have sanded to give an old matt boot button effect.
i didnt repai his nose as, i wanted to keep some of the vintage character.
i think hes been given a new lease of life and an apple a day keeps the doctor away! and he not in the tip!

ahhh, bless you, i too would need to vent, seems this buyer, is uptight, maybe they should try some bear making to chill them out, either that or send them a telepathic slap for being so snotty to you x

I didn't have a life and hubby was complaining that he did not have a wife any more
i used to average about two a week when i did minis but now im lucky if i get one done, and my husbands the same, as soon as i mention bears his eyes glaze over! iv been banned from talking about them, so now, i only sew when the kids are in bed and after iv had a cuddle with him too!!
gosh, wev all been busy bees, sounds like we all could do with a few more hours in the day!
