owwww..i remember a girl at school once went through her own finger..never could figure out how she did it..now i know!! (mind you, those old school machines were soooo slow..i don't know how she did it even if she did what you did..this was in the 80's..but i remember it like yesterday..i also remember a girl burning off her eyelashes trying to light the oven..hilarious..but dangerous..I bet theyre all electric these days)

yes..airports are very inconsistent..I remember a few years ago I flew from London to Sydney (about 22 hours) with my onboard bag at my feet..i used it as a foot rest cos im short..but from sydney to melbourne..a mere 1 hour flight..they wouldn't let me..it had to go in the overhead..which i couldn't reach..it was the same plane..just a different crew!!

I heard a few people say they took floss boxes on board and used that as scissors..i wonder if you could put your thread on a bobbin in the floss box??..I think they will let you have one small needle..but probably not a doll needle..but im sure some flights would be fine..some will not allow it..it really depends on each crew i guess..i tend to take magazines onboard these days instead of sewing..its just easier

ooh yes please..sounds like fun..tho it is winter here..i'll try to be lazy to fit in..but no bikini sorry..wayy too cold for that!!

wow..what a great competition!! Where will the bears be travelling to? Are they to be sold on their travels? ( I ask because it says "All artists who enter the competition must be willing to sell their pieces, or have bears available for sale.")

wow..what a beautiful lot of bears..I hope most of them sold!! Were the crowds large?? If id been there i would be soo stuck as i love so many of those bears..id need to eat bread and water for months to pay for all the bears i needed to bring home!! Well done everyone who exibited and organised etc..great looking show!!

you could zigzag the hair..umm..not sure how to explain it..have a long piece of fur or whatever youre using, then stitch it in a zigzag coming out at each point of the Z just a little bit to anchor it..would take a long time to do a whole face..its a technique used for whiskers..just a thought!! I haven't tried it myself for a face..but I have used it for whiskers and it holds well. oo I just thought of another way..you could pull it through the existing fabric before stitching it all up..you'd need a small crocheting hook or similar..not sure how you'd anchor it though...maybe glue?? dunno..anyone else got any ideas??

hmm..interesting idea..i would go to an electronics store and ask their guru for help..or if there isn't an electronics store, try the local high school or university..there are always kids who know about that sort of stuff and they may be able to help you out...hope that helps and good luck..can't wait to see what you end up with!!!

i have just spent 30+ minutes reading this thread and am feeling very entertained..thanks..and i also want to have a go at these cards now..just one question..how do you store/display your cards??..all the ones ive seen going to all the links are amazing and if i owned them i wouldn;t want them all stuck away in a book..Id want them out on my wall or shelf..thanks again for keeping me entertained on a cold monday evening
